Nail Candy Spa — Local services in Goulds

When I called in I asked how much it would be and I was told $25 for gel refill and where I usually go a refill with gel would be $27, so I was thinking I was getting a better price. I get my nails done and I got a design which is $5 and my total ended up being $33. Which should not have been the price, the price should have been $30 another problem I had was my friend came with me and got a full gel set which was supposed to be $30 because that’s what they said. When we finished some how hers ended up being $42, she did not get any design or anything, no glitter or anything. They couldn’t explain why it ended up being that price. They tired saying that the length was an extra charge, my nails were already that length. I feel like that shouldn’t be an extra charge when my nails were already that length. Most of my nails are overlays so my natural nails are long already. My friends nails were shorter then mine which is very confusing to me. How can u charge for length when hers were shorter? My mom did a color change which should have been $23 because she did regular on her toes and gel on her hands and they said it would be $23 when she finished it was $28 and then she said it was because of glitter and when we asked she said glitter wasn’t extra but then charged for it. Then she said the extra charge was because of a hardener they used. They did not use anything special they used regular gel polish. Overall the nails were nice but for the price it was not worth it, she tried making up excuses, nothing made sense. We aren’t cheap, we tipped a lot but when u charge something don’t...

This place is so lovely. The ladies and the gentleman who do nails here are very talented and incredibly sweet. The salon is always clean with upbeat music playing and the prices can’t be beat. So good that it’s worth me driving 25 mins on a Saturday morning for.

That being said however, there is one major complaint that keeps this from being a five star review. The wait times. Oh lord. They don’t do reservations or call-ahead appointments so it’s literally every man for themselves. Even though they open at 10 AM, I arrived last time at 9:45 and there’s already seats filled with a 3+ Hour wait time. The manager said there’s people who are there from 7-8AM waiting to get it. Camping out in my car in a parking lot for hours in the early morning is too much to ask for. And if I have to wait hours until they open, it’s not more different than waiting 3 hours after they open. This crazy wait time is the only thing that would drive me away from this place, and it’s a shame, as I live far so I can’t just place my name and go home to come back. I really wish they implemented a more organized system, as well as not cutting corners to accept people before their opening hours. I’m not the only one to complain about it either. No amount of good service will keep someone from having to endure this. I hope they are working on this. I would hate to have to ditch this salon due to this but the inconvenience, aggravation, and waste of time is getting to...

I went today and got a full set of acrylics put on and had a pedicure as well. The place is very clean and very sanitary. Put me at ease in that aspect, no question. I have no complaints about the wait or my pedicure. This full set, however, is the worst set I have ever had in my life. I arrived and told the receptionist that I would like someone who does a good job at long nails. I have been to salons all over Miami throughout my and I have never had an experience like this. I have several nails that are crooked. The tips were glued at a wrong angle creating an "upwards effect" making them look absolutely horrible. The only thing that is nice is the paint job, but when your nails are crooked and point at the sky it kind of ruins everything else. For what I paid, ($83) I would think I should be happy with the outcome. I am tempted to cut them all off and it hasn't even been 24 hours. They look so bad I could cry.. what a waste of time and especially money which nowadays is...
