Every time I go to Orschelns, I am greeted by a cashier, and access to a shopping cart is easy. The store has a relaxed shopping environment, much like the local hardware store. Locating what items I need is easy, and the prices are fair. Checking out is a breeze, quick and efficient. And I am thanked for shopping there. The only knock on this store is the amount of freight in aisles awaiting stocking or storing away by an employee, but that seems to be normal in every store now, regardless what retailer it is. Many stores in this town are a challenge, an aggravation, to shop in. Those stores have survived because of pricing and massive selection, in spite of their many flaws and shortcomings which are obvious to notice. If you put your name on their list for chicks, better call them multiple times to be sure your name doesn’t “disappear.” And if you get a rain check, better show up every day until they get their truck because they won’t call you when their shipment gets in either. Then say they won’t order any more to fullfill all their rain checks they gave out. When requested to check other stores to ship it to this location, they will agree then don’t do it and certainly won’t call you to tell you either way. The very nice clerk,Kim, informed me that they don't order feed at the store level and that the feed producer send what they want and not what they need.
