Beware of bad pickets on privacy fence if you intend to have the fence panels delivered. The delivery was good, but the quality of fence panels I received was atrocious! Of course the very top panel on each pallet looked fine, but as we unstacked the panels every one had at least one bad picket on it. Whoever was loading the fence panels on the pallets must have been hiding the bad pickets underneath the good panels! I ordered 18 six foot tall by eight foot long fence panels and photographed 17 bad pickets that will now need to be replaced by me. Menards did give me 17 new pickets to replace the bad ones that we encountered, but how many other people receive bad fence panels and do not complain about the shoddy wood being used? Warped pickets, split wood, pickets that were nailed on crooked, or had only one out of four nails holding the picket onto the fence panel. Or pickets that were missing altogether! Not the quality I would expect from any lumber yard! Privacy fence buyers beware, especially if you do not pick out the panels yourself, and have...

Once you purchase any brand other than Criterion, youâre at the mercy of Whirlpoolâs warranty program after a week. There is one - I repeat, ONE - contracted warranty repair person in the entire area, and heâs an absolute joke. Weâve bought several mid-grade Whirlpool-owned appliances at Menards; itâs all cheap junk & we can never seem to get warranty repair work done. I highly suggest you shop for major appliances elsewhere. Kenâs sells non-Whirlpool-owned brands & has in-store parts & service.
Customer service at this store has (for the most part) been willing to work with us (begrudgingly), but I feel itâs only right that if Menards is selling these brands & washing their hands of the matter after seven days, they need to be more aware of the local warranty situation & possibly be in contact with Whirlpool to contract a larger, more reputable local company to complete...
Read moreWell here it is 3 years after my last review and there has not been much change at our local store other than the redesign of the store which gives them more room for products snd more selection for the customer. As far as customers service,, it is no better than before and maybe a little worse. Rebate are still a pain but I have my wife doing it and I just get to spend it at Menards. I'm posting s few pictures today but it was difficult getting the shots because there was so many people there but most of the are free of customers.
I like Menard's except the "rebates". Its 11% but not cash just credit, and the hassles of redeeming the rebates (credit) I'd rather have a cash discount without all the forms and mailing and run around. I suppose they could do the redemption online. Anyway, I do like their selection and they have fair customer service. Certainly better than Walmart but not anywhere as good ace Ace Hardware....
