This company is a joke. I have had nothing but poor customer service from the company as a whole. First, my brother ordered a PS3 from the online store, refurbished. It was to include one remote and one game. When it arrived the game was missing and the remote did not sync with the console. We brought the remote and system in and we were informed the in-person store could not do anything about it. They would not even help open a claim and said we were SOL. The. Two days later the console itself started overheating. After taking the unit apart we found GameStop had done nothing to refurbish the device as the thermal paste was solid and there was mounds of dust and lint in the cooling system. These units have a "void warranty" sticker that becomes visible upon opening them, the unit still has this in tact prior to me opening it, which indicates that GameStop did nothing.
Fast forward, I have had a PS5 for about 8 months, and it is still under warranty. The remote that came with the console started experiencing "drift stick." I went through and cleaned the joystick with no luck. So I called GameStop and was informed over the phone to bring the remote in and they would swap it free of charge. Upon arrival, they told me otherwise. That if I wanted the warranty for the remote, I had to bring in the entire console. Seriously? This company is trash, their customer service is garbage. I will never shop here again, and I do not recommend you do either. There are plenty of other places that offer far superior...
Read moreI went here to get a game that me and my dad talked about before he passed away. I haven't had a chance to buy this game until a few weeks.
During those few weeks i went into GameStop to try and buy that specific game, and I had high hopes since for a while they were great. The guy that helped me (Dylan) said that they didn't have it in stock, but they can order it to my house. I haven't tried ordering online this way, so I ordered there. 3 days pass and I get an email in the morning, saying that it was canceled. I had no clue why except the fact that it was "in high demand." So I went to the same GameStop and talked to the same guy about a refund, since I did buy this game with cash. He got confused and and said "you ordered through us? He told me that I needed to talk to customer service. So I did, and when they got back to me which took a day, they said that the person who ordered it (Dylan) didn't complete the order, automatically cancelling the game.
If you want to get a game or even a console, please go to EntertainMart in the mall. Just anywhere but...

The last time i came in though the employee working was not very happy that I wanted to cancel some pre-orders. I had pre ordered one of the new Nintendo switches the day before and the new pokemon games, but unbeknownst to me i would receive a normal Nintendo switch that night as a gift so i came in the next day to cancel my pre order. I get that its annoying to have to issue out a refund, and i'm sorry that it was much more complicated to reach into the register and hand me cash rather than to switch the money over to different pre orders.
