"Mike" at this location has the worst customer service I have ever received. The bed is great but not cheap so you would think that would come with some level of customer service. He is so rude, has terrible phone etiquette, wouldn't let me speak with another representative, did everything he could to NOT help and NOT listen, spoke over me, raised his voice at me, and then hung up on me. I was shocked to say the least. My mother wanted this bed after she was diagnosed with cancer in 2019. She passed away in August of 2023 and I found myself attempting to move all of her belongings from out of state. Being a tempurpedic gal myself, I did not know how Intensive it is to move a sleep number so I paid the $250 to have it broken down on top of the $8,000 that was paid for the mattress. I waited for my 3 hour window and had the neighbor living next door to the vacant house where my mom lived (and where the bed is located) ready to let the team in when they arrived. All I asked of Mike was to let the delivery driver know to call the neighbors number upon arrival or to call me so I can let the neighbor know they have arrived. Again, the house is vacant and had they just showed up and rung the doorbell it would appear nobody is there and again, according to sleep number policy I would be charged an additional amount to have no one there on arrival even though I prepared to have someone there. Mike basically responded with "well I'm new and nobody is here to help me (even though he put me on hold to ask someone else) and basically they gave you a window so it's your problem to figure out". I couldn't believe he was so unhelpful. This whole situation has been so stressful and I'm still mourning the loss of my mom. I then called Courtney at the corporate office and she was AMAZING! I wish Mike could have just given me the corporate number to start so I didn't have to talk to him. She truly is a role model for customer service and I already sent feedback through the corporate web page about her. Please make sure she is recognized. She was so kind, empathetic, solved my problem right away, listened to me vent, and followed up so quickly. Had it not been for her, I would have just put the sleep number in the dump and done everything I can to make sure nobody else buys from this location. Especially from Mike if he is in sales. Be prepared to give him a nice commission and never get any help from him if something goes wrong. Do yourself a favor and just go straight to corporate if you have any issues. The king size is “ NOT” a true king I am beyond angry because we purchased a whole bedroom set based on the fact that I thought the bed would cover the whole platform base because the base I purchased is exactly 76x80 The Sleep Number King bed is only 75x79 and after more than a week of trying to see if it would still expand it hasn’t So now the platform underneath is clearly visible and it looks ridiculous No one wants to spend thousands of dollars on a bed and a platform base to have it look horrible .
So to me this is “ false advertising” My husband barely fits on a king lengthwise and now it’s even worse
The associate who sold us they bed “ never” mentioned the fact that now you have to buy the remote separately. I didn’t find out until later What if I was not tech savvy or I was purchasing this for my elderly mother and she doesn’t know how to use those features on her phone ? Another marketing ploy for the company to make more money
I have woken up with pain everyday in my back and hips since “ trying” to sleep on this bed

Read moreThe positives: I cannot say enough good things about the Sleep Number bed. It has changed my quality of life. I had a less than one year old big name brand bed previously. I woke up with back pain all the time. Additionally I track my sleep with my Samsung watch and Samsung Health. Despite cleaning up my sleep hygiene I was scoring in the 60s consistently. Since getting the Sleep Number, my scores have been in the 80s and no more back pain.
The delivery experts were some of the nicest and most professional delivery people I have ever had in my house. I was extremely impressed. They exceeded my expectations.
The Cons:
The people at the store are not at all helpful. They pointed at signs which had the same information I had already learned online. What questions they did answer turned out to be wrong. The incorrect information created problems later on which no one at the store has yet to even apologize for let alone try to correct. I was given the customer service number to call which was only a step better because they did say they were sorry, but had no inclination to make anything better. It appears Sleep Number relies pretty heavily on the fact that you will never want to sleep on another bed rather than give you warm fuzzies if something goes wrong which I suppose is a valid business model. I'm also guessing things don't go wrong very often based on reviews.
That said, unless you just want to lay on the different models, I see no benefit to going to the store verses...
