Red Robin hit rock bottom tonight. I've noticed a general downward trend over the last 6 months, but tonight was the capper. I'm a Royalty Club member, so we go there a lot, maybe 2 or 3 times a month. I could write a manifesto on this whole experience, but I'm going to try and be brief, I've already wasted enough time on them tonight. First, the greeter was snotty and looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there. Gave us 1 crayon, for 2 kids. Seated us at a booth with massive rips in the upholstery, I'm talking 10 or 12 inches. The server was ok, he was at least trying. Food arrived after 30 minutes (not bad, compared to some other unfortunate reviewers), but the place was practically empty, we were one of only 5 tables occupied. The food arrived, and immediately I noticed how haphazard the presentation was. My kids pizzas had fries scattered all over the top of them, thus were covered with cheese and pizza sauce. My burger...well, have you ever been to the drive thru at Burger King? You open up the box, and are greeted by the Whopper that looks all dried out, kinda sliding off the bun, with the wilted lettuce and unmelted cheese? That's what I got. Bun was stale, and hard as a rock. Burger was cold, and overcooked. Looked like it was just thrown on the plate. No presentation at all: no little silver fry holder, no paper wrap, nothing. It could have been pulled out of the trash, for all I know. The manager was nice, our "meal" was free, but she seemed outmatched. I actually got a glare from one of the kitchen staff, when my daughter was complaining that the food was taking too long. All in all, it was a terrible experience. Bad food. Lackadaisical staff. Poor seating. No redeeming qualities. We...
Read moreWill NEVER enter this establishment again! Wish I could give a negative star First: walked in to watch an employee at the hostess station talk on the phone and ignore the party of 3 that also walked in. We were seated by a different staff person. It was after 9 so there may have been 5 tables with 2 to a party of 12 in the whole place. Probably about as many waitresses. 1 per party. Well we were fortunate(un) to be set at Jenny's table. She was the most unfriendly, un inviting, pissed off looking person I've ever come across working as a waitress. Hardly looked at us to ask our order. Drinks and appetizers. Brought our drinks and slid them on the table as she walked by. After taking our dinner order and not removing any empty plates or drink glasses says she will be back. 10 minutes later and multiple walk pasts I went to the bar ordered my own drink and asked for the MOD. A few minutes later the manager came over and I voiced my complaints. She would talk to her, after which she at least paid attention to our table a bit snippy but whatever. During our waiting my boyfriend was messing around with his son which led to the son pouting. He was told stop pouting, don't act like a wussy....we eat, pay our bill, yes even tipped. I drive away. About 1 mile up the road I am being pulled over?? They say there was no plate light on the trailer. Hmmm ok- yeah not the case they got a call from Red Robin that my husband was abusing his son and needed to talk, 15 minutes and 5 GJPD later we were finally let go. RIDICULOUS!!!! They seem to think anyone who disciplines there child needs the cops called on them. Thought it was because we complained but NO, happened to others too. Never going back. And if you have any boundaries for your own kids you might...
Read moreLast night reminded me why I haven't gone in a long time. It took 15 minutes before someone even asked about our drinks, 25 minutes before we ever saw our server (the place was half empty, was either "still understaffed" or a "under equipped" server). The wedge salad that I normally share w/my husband came half the size & a mess, dressing/blue cheese thrown all over the plate, rather than on the wedge. Now to the very thing I look forward to... My lettuce WRAPPED sandwich...so you had this up scaling remodel happen & thus stopped wrapping sandwiches in paper. I'm not sure who the genius was that this should include lettuce WRAPPED sandwiches to no longer have the paper but thats a guarantee to fail during pick up 99% of the time, I've had clothes just ruined even attempting; honestly last night's lettuce WRAPPED took the cake on just being crappy. A core of the lettuce head was cut in half then the burger stuff couldn't even sit, so cockeyed off the "bottom wedge" not leaf & the top part of this wedge was so big there was no way I could pick it up & take a bite. Why is the word WRAPPED bold? Because if your going to advertise a lettuce wrap then that's what it does it wraps the sandwich, I hate to say it but McDonald's & Carl's Jr both have no problem with this task, but trying to go to a healthier route, in a "more upscale" place, your pales in comparison. It's was just such a disappointment, the former way Red Robin did this was perfect, my 8-10 person group use to go monthly, you'll be lucky if it's once a year now. We are patient & good to our servers, even the server last night was tipped 30%. Bring the paper back & use freaking lettuce leafs not huge sections on the heart of the head. I wish I could include a picture, I...
