Lie to customer? Yes. Make promises they don't keep, then pretend they never made said promise? Yes sir. Wreck new PC components, with no actual explanation that makes any sense? Check. Call customers when they say they will, when something goes wrong, or when work is kinda sorta complete? Nope. 1 year old system running slower than my 7 year old HP after the finished it? Yup. Windows installed well and checked? Nope. MB driver update suggested by manufacture immediately after set up, to avoid critical failures installed? Not a chance. Seemingly nice guys? Yes. Cheap prices? Yes. Would I ever take anything to be built or repaired there again? Absolutely not. If it was worth the effort, I would take these guys to small claims court. Seriously, if you screw up... Just man up and admit it. Replace what you ruined, rather than lying to your customers. Is saving yourself a few hundred dollars worth getting a review like this, and losing a new customer? No. UPDATE: After this post I took the system back to deal with another problem that shouldn't be happening in a near completely rebuilt computer. Scratched their heads for a few days and ten decided it was a cable issue. WRONG! After dealing with the problem again after they said it was fixed, I spent about 5 to 10 mins a day for 3 days search for issues with the same hardware on google. It was the BIOS settings. They max temp auto shutdown preferences were SUPER low. Well below normal okay operating temperatures. Watched a YouTube video and fixed it myself. DO NOT GO HERE! They sell you a story about being the most skilled and educated comp repair/builders in the valley. It's total BS. I dropped into another local shop (1 Stop) to get a custom CAT 5E cable crimped (just moved, can't find my crimping tool). I told the guys there the issues I was having previously and asked their opinion. First thing they said "Update the firmware and check the BIOS preset shutdown temp." I was in their for 5 mins and didn't have my comp with me. In that time they were able to figure it out off the top of their heads and get my cable made. GJ Comp...
Read moreI bought a refurbished computer and monitor for 600 dollars. The first monitor developed a line in the screen within the first week. They were kind enough to exchange it. 3 months after buying the computer, it starts restarting, shutting down, restarting shutting down. I bought it to a pc repair place and they discovered the graphics card was held in place very poorly (gerry rigged with inproper screws) and was coming out, it fried my hard drive from this. 160 dollars in repairs later and it kept shutting down. So i had to get a whole new computer tower. Final total for a used computer: 860. It came with a 30 day warrenty...but to have this many issues is insane. I called them to see what could be done and they wanted me to drive all the way from GJ from denver (where i moved) but wouldnt offer anything else. I will never go there again and would warn anyone who wants to buy anything from...
Read moreSo I will not review work, as I had none done. However I will review the parts bit. I love to support local, however I can not support this shop. Counter intuitively I walked in expecting to see parts for sale, new or used, didn’t matter. However I was presented with, flat “no” to my parts acquisition requests. And a “we are more repair, than parts shop”. Ok I understand that. Flat out get rid of parts plainly posted on the window. And if you can get it in, offer that. The atmosphere was more snooty gun shop than computer repair, parts, buy, sell… hate to post a review like this and I usually wouldn’t. However as it was recommended to me to go for parts I needed because the owners are awesome (from someone who knew them) I was taken aback by what I...
