Con artists with no sense of customer service. The biggest issue with this place is the constant advertising that they are going out of business. This is deceptive as they have no intention of closing soon and have used this lie to draw people in for years. The second issue is they say they clean and fix hats, will ask you to bring them in to quote a price, but then will say the are too busy, or too short staffed, to do the work. They told me there was at least a 3 month wait, but never mentioned it when they first told me to bring the hats in for a quote. A week later the told my friend the same lines, but said their wait was a couple weeks. It appears to me they want easy work or to work on hats of people that dont know better. First thing I would like to say about this establishment is that the staff Are hands-down some of the best! I had the pleasure of working with Nikki and she shaped my hat and exactly what I was looking for. (West Texas punch crown and a brim with a little bit of attitude) She even reshaped the hat I wore into the store and made it look brand new.

The staff here are an absolute wealth of knowledge. “ Derby” is as cowboy as cowboys can get. Extremely hospitable and has some of the best stories you’ll ever hear in your life. If you’re looking for a quality hat shop look no further, seriously! If you can name a better store to get a custom hat at the price they’re selling them for, I’ll go visit it myself. I had the pleasure of visiting this place when I took my daughter on a trip to Colorado last spring. We took the train, because neither of us had ever seen the Rockies before. On our list of things to do was to buy boots and hats. I bought 3 pair of cowboy boots and 2 hats. My daughter matched me, but everything that she found wouldn't always be considered western wear. The selection was amazing. The prices were better than great, but most of all, the owners and Sally were the nicest people that I have ever met. No hard pressure sales here.
