We started our lunch with a fried tofu app: the side sauce with the crushed peanuts was sweet and tangy but the tofu tasted like nothing and had the texture of dried out sponges, crunchy and flavorless without the sauce and for $9.00 we got like 8 pieces. I had the duck noodle soup with the egg noodles and my lunch date had the pad thai: the duck was very greasy, mostly all skin and the meat was cut up in pieces, which it didnt look like the pic in the menu. In fact, both dishes looked nothing alike the pics in the menu, plus the portions were small for $20 dishes each. The duck noodle soup broth was brown and sweet, nothing like a pho broth I have ever tasted; I had to use chilli sauce and limes to enhance the flavor because it tasted like a caramel sugary soup with greasy duck chunks of meat on top. The pad thai had flavor but the noodles were rubbery and some were sticking together. Pad Thai usually has crushed peanuts on top but this one didnt; it was meat, green onions, sauce and noodles, so nothing extraordinary or great, just subpar thai dish. Me and my partner have eaten in many Thai and Asian restaurants in our lives and this one didnt make an impression. 2 dishes and an app, $65 with tip, which made me upset because the food was really not worth the price and the portions were also lacking. We would not be back and would not recommend. The service was okay and the place is clean and pretty, bit stank of fabuloso during the middle of our lunch, like they were moping while we were there so all the thai aromas of the food gone because of the fabuloso stench. We had to rush and get out of there because we didnt enjoy the food and it...

The food was awesome and great as always. My favorite spot to stop by while driving through Grand Junction. Definitely one of the best restaurants for Thai food in CO. However the new waiter (or one I haven’t met before) that was serving around 1:30PM of 08/30/24 was very rude. She rushed me too frequently and had an attitude while serving me with a fake smile behind it the whole time. Grabbing menus out of a customers hand without asking for it is unacceptable. Giving the bill to a customer before finishing food is okay, taking away condiments before finishing food is not okay. Saying that you charge extra for small amount of extra Thai peanut sauce when I know for a fact you don’t (given the amount of times I’ve been there) but that you’ll let it slide, is annoying, because I know it’s made up.

Unsurprisingly, I chose not to tip at the end. Then the waiter had the audacity to ask me to tip her. Service was not good, so I told her it was optional, I was not going to tip. She proceeded to lie about only making money off tips. I told her I’m not tipping then she called me rude. I just told her better service is expected next time.

Tips are for service that goes above and beyond. The waiter today went above and beyond to make my experience eating there uncomfortable. Thus no tip. Such a shame, the waiter before was much better, kinder, more patient, and much more understanding...

Thai Smile is a great restaurant. We have eaten at Thai Smile twice and both times the food was very good. I had the Pad Thai Noodle which is Glute-Free and has a tangy sauce. You choose your meat and there are multiple meats to choose from such as beef, chicken, shrimp, calamari etc.

They do have multiple Gluten-Free options. I appreciate knowing what dishes are Gluten-Free. It is very nice to have a place know what it means to be Gluten-Free and put it on their menu.

My husband, who likes things hot, found that his Massaman Curry dish was spicy enough for him with the Thai Spicy level which is the hottest you can do. Our friends also found the spicy levels appropriate. One ordered the Pad Thai Noodle dish Hot and the other ordered it Medium+. Both liked the level of spice they had.

Our waitress was very good and nice. She kept our waters filled, helped everyone figure out how spicy to order their food and brought extra hot spices to the table so we could add to what we ordered.

The thing I love about this place is that they have Mango Sticky Rice for desert. It was really good...

We were feeling a little adventurous and I had been thinking about going here for a while... This is our first experience with Thai food. The Good: Notable portion size. Flavorful authentic taste. Food came quickly... always a good thing. Free parking. The Bad: Prices are a little high (for us) offset by portion size. Overtones of seafood in our non-seafood meals (I personally can't do seafood). Menu is confusing. Prices are not clearly marked for Fried Rice dishes... IDK. Anyhow service was ok I guess, just forgot a couple things, didn't check on us too much, hard to get a "your welcome".. and it was a tag team effort. They are helpful and friendly though so don't take it the wrong way.. maybe just custom. Also note: They may close early so don't show up at 830pm and expect to be seated. Even on a Friday night at dinner rush hour it was slow. Overall: I would recommend. Try it. Go for the adventure. Just enjoy it for what it is.

We ordered 2 dishes. The drunken noodle ramen style is very good (36/50). The Khao Soi is fine, average (30/50). It’s not my style and I prefer rice dishes. The vegetable spring rolls for $8.99 had two smaller rolls cut into two. Definitely not worth it (25/50). There is a complimentary vegetable soup that is solid 37/50 star. Thai green tea: good, kind of floral (33/50). Overall, meh. But considering I’m in Western Colorado, I rounded up to a 4 star. If I was in Houston or Cali, I’d wouldn’t be as generous. Overall, I support local. Nice staff.
