Worst Nepalese/Indian food I've ever had in Colorado. We ordered takeout order during our one day stay in grand Junction. The Naan was RAW... just RAW dough. Dal tarka had no "tarka" at all. I would ask the chef and the owner to google the dal tarka and see what Tarka actually means. Kadhai paneer was tasteless. Looked more like boiled veggies with paneer. I am pretty sure that dish never touched a "Kadhai". I am surprised by the high ratings. This place deserves negative stars.
Edit after owner's reply: I would love to have what you are smoking dude. I had no discussion with you about the menu. I checked out the menu online and ordered on phone. Was definitely not impatient. I came in, took my order and went out. I was not on phone with anyone. You are clearly mistaking me for someone else. I've been reading your replies to other comments as well. You love blaming others for your lack of quality service and food. Don't play the racism card with everyone. Instead work on your business. Improve your tasteless bland food. And most of all work on your attitude. With this rude behaviour you are not going...
Read moreDifficult to find "tasty" Nepalese food so didn't know what to expect in this Grand Junction restaurant. I was prepared to have a meal on the bland side. Got the chicken makhani (butter chicken) and was pleasantly surprised that it was very tasty. Got a few more weeks left in town, so will go back and try a couple of other dishes as the chicken makhani is always my test dish to see if the food at these restaurants has any flavor. The chicken tikka masala was also tasty but a bit more subdued taste than the butter chicken. Nonetheless, both dishes were tasty, with the butter chicken being the tastier.
Now, can't speak for the hotness of the food as I get it mild since otherwise, my stomach gets upset, but the flavor of the meal had a good kick to it, and the other good factor was the quantify of chicken in the meal. Nowadays many restaurants are shorting their quantity of meat on their plates, but I was able to have 2 meals out of my order, which I really appreciate as some places nowadays are serving just enough meat to feed an infant. Very large piece of naan too. If you want a tasty meal in GJ, this...
Read moreThis is seriously the only Indian place I will eat at in this town. No where else is worth it. They are always so friendly and polite. It’s an owned by a lovely family and is a true hidden gem. I hope they never close! They’re Vegetable Thali is hands down worth it! You can go to somewhere else and get charged $15 more for the same Thali and no where as good. With Namaste, I always have leftovers. I also always get their vegetable pakora. Try both of these and you won’t regret it. PLUS if you’re new to Indian food, the Thali gives you a sample of a lot of their delicious food to figure out what you truly like. My only suggestion would be I would like them to be more active on Facebook. Some days they’re closed for emergencies/unexpected events and there is no notice on their Facebook page. They also don’t answer Facebook messages and I’ve tried to call their phone and never got an answer. We live across town, and would hate to drive there for it to be closed! Online communication could use some work but wouldn’t change my 5 star review!...
