ALDI — Local services in Grand Rapids

Always find great things here. Items are very reasonably priced to fit tight budgets. The food quality is amazing and chealer than alot pf other stores. There is even gourmet items that other stores charge ridiculous prices for that are great tasting and greatly priced at Aldi. I love Aldis because we are a huge family and without Aldis we would not be able to eat as well as we do. Meaning that our money goes far at Aldis and we are able to make it to the end of the month when we grocery shop. More importantly the healthy food is great and there is a huge variety at all times of fresh fruit and veggies. It is a shame how at other stores its not so affordable but the media constantly says we are an obese America! I am very greatful for Aldis because I have finally been able to say that the saying of " You get what you pay for" is Not True!!!! We get quality and quantity from Aldis!!! Also I even buy household items, toys, shoes, clothes and more!!!!! I have been a shopper of Aldis for many years and will continue unless I move to a state where Aldis is not there. Even when I go on vacation I shop at Aldi fir example they are in Atlanta. Aldis if you actually read these reviews PLEASE DONT RAISE YOUR PRICES!!!! You guys are truly helping us mothers make a way when it seems like we cant. The products you guys have are truly amazing. I really thank you guys because when we were struggling I didnt have to worry about feeding my babies! I knew with even a budget of $50 if that was all that was left after bills for 2 wks that they would eat for days till my next check. On top of that it didnt have to be just processed food. So not only do I shop at Aldis when money is tight but because of the quality and prices I still get 90% of my groceries for my family of 8 from here when money isnt tight!!! Shop here I say and mean it!!! No you may not get "name brand" items all the time but Aldis has an system of getting different items that I would never try in a huge store and they are GREAT. They did a great job with the recent update! It’s great having a beautiful new Aldi in our neighborhood. New updates make it easier to shop at a store I already love shopping at! I have been very pleased to see some new healthy options that are becoming available at all Aldi locations. As someone with many food sensitivities and who avoids preservatives in food, it is a relief to be able to find food that is safe and nutritious to eat. For example, they have a pack of sausage that is preservative free and low in cost. I used to have to go to places like Trader Joe’s for special food items, but now I can find most of them here! I’m a huge Aldi fan from a cost savings and sustainability perspective. The company also operates Trader Joe’s, so you’ll find some very similar products. This particular Aldi isn’t the worst I’ve been to. There is definitely room for improvement. But it’s well lit, the selection is standard. I read a review that knocked the produce, but I’ve never had that experience. It can get pretty busy. As customary at any Aldi, you need to be prepared for the checkout experience. I learned that the cashiers are timed, so they need to be fast in order to keep their jobs. If you want someone white-gloving your groceries, go to Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods.
