okaaaaay so i’m 1) not much of a reviewer and 2) not much of a holistic skincare person but let me rant i recently started working up the street and through positive word of mouth from coworkers and clients decided to take a trip in skincare-centric stores are usually a nightmare for me. I definitely expected a cutesy-over-fragranced experience like Lush. (don’t get me wrong i am a sucker for lush, too) Cute- YES. gimmicky- NO. i am very visually someone who has struggled with acne for many years. i was greeted warmly by the owner (or head chemist lol) and staff, and given a brief layout of the store. the owner (really showing that i do not pay attention to name tags) was very proud of his products but didn’t try to push anything my way until i brought up specific concerns. (if you’ve ever gone into a sephora on a no makeup day you know why this is so comforting) he never talked down about my routine at home, and even gave me suggestions that weren’t directly going to profit Fox.I got some moisturizer that feels amazing, and a sample of some green tea cleanser that i have to come back and purchase a full version of soon. Fox Naturals has completely changed my hygiene rituals. For three years I’ve been a devotee of their shampoo bars. It has taken my hair texture from oily to normal, and has made showering a pleasure rather than a chore. Their shampoo bars also have helped cut down my drying time because none of the commercial gunk is weighing it down. I used to dread my wash days because of how much time and how heavy my hair felt during and after each shower— i needed to set aside six hours for my hair to dry naturally, or blow dry my hair continuously for up to an hour just to get it to a semi-dry state. I was introduced to Fox Naturals throught a Yelp Elite Event. Since then, I have become a loyal patron! My husband and I wear their perfumes (they have a wide range of scents, not all super floral or "girly"). I have learned that I can not (and will not) live without their room sprays. I have one in our bedroom, living room, guest room, basement AND I have holiday scents, as well. Krampus was a holiday favorite! The store is so beautifully decorated and curated.
