Style encore is a reliable place to come sell used women’s clothes. I have been coming here for years as a seller. Here are the things I have noticed:

You are paid noticeably less for your items here compared to Plato’s and Uptown Cheapskate.

I am rarely able to shop here due to the styles being such modern clothing. The L and XL section is always lacking. This is the fault of the business, because if the “older than 2 years” rule wasn’t enforced as harshly, this wouldn’t be an issue. It’s tiring that the only consignment shop in town geared towards adult women has such low and modern standards for what is accepted here. There is a lot to be had from women’s fashion over the years and you are certainly not getting it here.

Immodest fashion is heavily promoted here. When I walk into, again, the only consignment store in town geared towards adult women, and there’s maybe 30 skirts between all the sizes, and the majority are miniskirts- that’s a problem. I’m not going to shop here, nor direct people to an establishment that refuses to inspire women to dress themselves appropriately.

I don’t make much of an effort to stop at Style Encore anymore after having observed these things over the years. I have four little sisters and a mom and we are all better off shopping online or even making our own clothing at this point. Hoping this will change and the standards here can be revised to offer more appealing services...

First time I went there, it was to go sell some stuff, which didn't work out. I came in to sell stuff, and the girls that were looking through barely glanced and did not buy anything from me. Another girl said it might've been because I had clothes from brands they weren't accepting, but I did my research and got only clothing that they were accepting.

Second time I went there, it was after I won a gift card, they (different people) were super nice and I didn't feel judged by them as I felt the first time I went in, and I even managed to find something cute.

I would sorta recommend. They do have cute stuff, sorta, and if you want trendy brands, then you should go here. Although, it might be easier going to your local Goodwill or something. I think it's easier to just go through the Clearance section at JCPenny's or something idk. The store is nice and...

I started off by purchasing from them, I had a great experience. then I decided some of the items that I purchased did not fit well and I had a few items of my own to resell. now I don't care about the price that they offer me for my items I just really need them off of my hands, and they're great condition. the fact that they didn't buy not a single item from me and not even their own items that they sold to me was beyond ridiculous and the excuse they gave me didn't make sense. Like I just bought these items from you a week ago why wouldn't you take them back. Long story short I would not be shopping there again, Plato's closet either! I spoke with one of my friends and she swore up and down it was a black thing because they don't buy from her either but seeing if the other reviews just lets me know it's a bad company...
