THEY BREAK YOUR STUFF AND DON'T CARE, AVOID THIS PLACE
UPDATE: Customer support is just as much of a joke, was treated just as terribly over the phone by a higher up who spoke to me as nothing more than another number on a list and they made the only opportunity for me to (possibly) get a reimbursement for my controller they destroyed essentially impossible. Only one man on the phone support actually talked to me like a human being but the higher up, just like the store employees did not care.
On Friday I brought in a PS4 controller, the only thing wrong with it was the rubber on the analog was tearing away and they said it was an easy fix, I live 30 minutes away from this place and finding it was a chore, but the employee sounded pleasant enough to make the trip worth it after he promised they could fix it. I made it, and they took an hour to not only swap out the original bad analog but put in a second new one so they would both match, all for the same price! It only cost $20 so it looked like it was a great deal, unfortunately that's not the case.
As I got home I plugged in the controller and let it charge for a good hour (at least it SHOULD have been charging) but upon finally playing my game I noticed that the buttons weren't responding, and noticed the battery on screen showed that it was about to die! I don't know what they did but they screwed something up internally and made it so the controller can't charge/hold power, so it's basically useless. I was unable to return to the store until today where even though I got a refund for the initial repair they refused to do anything else despite the fact they essentially broke my controller. I was treated rudely by the teenager running the counter, and they didn't even apologize and only made excuses for their blunder! A new PS4 controller costs upwards to $60 and they didn't even have the empathy or responsibility to admit what they did was wrong, let alone offer to give me anything to help pay off a new one.
There's a reason why I never go to small-time tech repair shops like this, they do sloppy work and just shrug and tell you "it is what it is". My advice is to never go here and just go to an official retailer for advice. I don't want anyone else to be lied to and ripped...
Read moreuBreakiFix... Unfortunately it turned into uBringInAWorkingPhoneWithAnIssue-iBreak... I brought in my phone with a cut-and-dry battery issue. The individual that I spoke to just had a hard time with his previous customer and I wanted to be courteous, knowing he was having a tough day. We worked well together and I was confident that I would leave happy. He asked me for 2 hours to get the battery replaced. I went somewhere else to do my homework for 2 hours and returned promptly on time. A new technician was there, went back to check on the phone, and awkwardly told me that it hadn't been worked on yet. With only 1 hour before closing, he asked me to come back right before they close. I walked back out to my car and continued working on my homework for another hour. I came back in 10 minutes before close. The same technician awkwardly approached me and explained that in taking the case off, they broke two capacitors off of my motherboard and it was no longer fixable. He told me to go to Verizon and they would replace my phone. Suffice to say I wasn't happy, but I remained cordial and asked for the notes taken so I would have proof to show Verizon. There was some pushback but I did walk out with some notes. Upon showing up at Verizon, they had no idea what I was talking about and said that uBreakiFix was supposed to be the ones who replace the phone or at least cover the costs since they irreparably damaged the phone. When my representative called over to uBreakiFix, they brushed him off and made it clear their priority was to go home for the day and I wasn't their problem any more. My representative will be reporting this to their division manager and was able to get me a replacement phone on order, though they will be handling payment directly with uBreakiFix. Even though I did everything right to come get my phone fixed, I was very disappointed in the service. I understand some things just happen, but I wasted 3 hours of my day that I desperately needed for schoolwork just waiting. Then they broke my phone and wouldn't take the steps they were responsible for in replacing it because it was more convenient to go home than to follow through with morally good...
Read moreFirst I brought my phone here for a warranty repair of the battery. They said it would take an hour to an hour and a half to fix it. I waited almost three hours and before I got my phone back. And before i even made it home the screen was glitching out and completely stopped working. I brought it back the next day to get a screen repair. They charged Samsung for the screen and didn't want to give me a new screen protector. They finally have me a liquid protector and said id be covered for a year. When i tried to register the product it didn't work,. My screen broke and i contacted them and they said they had no proof they ever put the protection on my phone and without a box they couldn't help me. I found the box , called the "manager" and she was all like yeah come down here we will take care of it. I drove ALL the way over here for some clueless guy who still refused to help. Even after she told me to come..waste my time..and my money. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE DO NOT GO HERE!!! the people who work here are morons and they will mess up your phone, then smile in your face when they tell you its not their problem. ....If i could give less then one star i would.
My response to their so called customer service representative. You guys broke my phone. I came in for a battery repair and you broke my screen. I had a brand new screen protector on my phone which should have been replaced FREE since what I came in for did not require my screen to be removed. Then you gave me a run around saying you did not have any record of service on my phone. I had to call Samsung to verify ..Then you finally agreed that I did get it fixed there.. And gave me the same story and advised me if I had the box, from 5 months ago then it would be covered..Probably hoping I didn't.. But I did..And when I called the "manager" ( I use that word very loosely) said come on down we will take care of it.. Wasting even more of my time and energy. That place is a JOKE. The employees need to be...
