Update 1/27/2025 - 3 packages were delivered to lobby, then regular paper mail was placed inside the mailbox, however, there was an outgoing piece of mail and the flag was up but yet the carrier just stuff the paper mail in the box which caused the outgoing envelope to get stuck towards he back of the box. So, 1. why stop by the lobby to deliver packages and then stop again to put mail in the box and 2. the flag was up on the box - why was the outgoing mail ignored. YOU GET PAID TO DO A JOB!!! THEN DO IT!!!!
Update 1/14/2025 - Large package was stuffed into mailbox over the weekend when we are closed. They know packages to big to fit in mailbox are to be delivered to the lobby only when we are open. Contacted manager about issue and was told it would be discussed with carriers. Update 4/22/2021 - Another box just thrown into our lobby today. Just to make sure, I went out to the mailbox after she left and sure enough more mail was in the mailbox at the street. The customer service is terrible and I don't know why her work ethic isn't disciplined. If she were my employee and I had as many complaints about her as she has, I would have fired her a long time ago. It's amazing how she can get paid to do a job that she refuses to do properly.
Update 4/21/2021 - Another large box stuffed in our mailbox. I almost pulled our mailbox off it's wood post trying to get the box out. The box was bent, torn and had a hole in it from her shoving it in the mailbox. I also ripped up our newspaper because she had the rest of the mail stuffed to the side so tight. I won't mention the ugly cut on my hand from scraping it against the metal trying to get everything out. I know this was our regular carrier, because Cathy, our sub, is never lazy like this. When Cathy delivers our mail, we never have any problems. Today's box should have been brought to the lobby.
Update: 4/16/2021: Just another reason they need to change our regular postal carrier. 2 boxes were delivered to our lobby, which they should be when they are to large for our mailbox. However, I was notified of an Amazon package that arrived and was left in our mailbox (which was not with the boxes in the lobby). So I went out to our box, and yes, our mailbox was yet again FULL to capacity with the rest of our mail. If you have to come to the lobby to deliver the larger boxes, just leave ALL OF THE MAIL IN THE LOBBY; why leave some of it in our box and some of it in the lobby. The smart thing to do is make as few stops as possible, why stop twice at the same address. How dumb!!!
Update 10/15/2020: No changes with our regular carrier. In fact, the last two days, she's "dropped/thrown" packages into our lobby and then turned around and put the regular mail back in the mailbox. When there are larger packages, why can't she "nicely place" ALL the mail in the lobby? When we have a sub carrier she arrives with a smile and places the packages and regular mail nicely in the lobby and even says "Hello"!!! Can you assign the "sub carrier" as our regular carrier because this rudeness and unprofessionalism has been displayed for quite a while now and is unacceptable.
Grayling MI - 8/27/2020 - The personnel at this post office location is always nice and friendly. However, the postal carrier that delivers to our business is very lazy. She stuffs our mailbox FULL beyond capacity. Yesterday, the box was so full I could barely get the packages out. Read moreIn the ongoing saga of incompetence and lies....Today my package was "out for delivery". As usual "delivery was attempted" but were "unable to deliver." At the exact time this delivery was "attempted" i was standing on my porch cleaning my bbq grill. Nobody attempted to deliver anything. Why lie about this? Why are these rude incompetent people still employed? The rude dark haired stringy headed one at the PO is so hateful shes a disgrace to a government office. 5/22/25 Picked up above package at the PO. 5/29/25 yet another package that "delivery was attempted" on at 9:35 am. With a "will try again" note. Carrier has not even been on this road today and they wont try again. Requires another trip to the post office after paying shipping and another encounter with the crass rude clerk. Delivery was not tried again. Package was picked up this morning 5/31/25. 5/31/25 carrier was "unable to access driveway or door" I have a circle driveway. Did not try in fact it was a small box containing vitamins. Would fit in the mailbox.

Read moreFirst off, every interaction I've had before today, with various employees, has been 5 star...until today. And even today, things were fine until a third employee got involved and told me that they could not accept a form that had been handed to me by another employee to fill out and return after reserving, and paying for, a PO Box online. A second employee attempted to explain why the inhouse version of the form could not be substituted for the online, printed out version, (both forms ask for identical information BTW, and it's obviously a procedural issue that they have no control over), but this third lady was very condescending in her demeanor from the initial interaction...and it just got worse from there. This woman was so disrespectful and demeaning that I canceled my order for the PO Box and secured one at another location nearby. I definitely do not want my mail potentially being handled by someone as obviously entitled, rude and possibly spiteful as her. It's too bad the postal service doesn't have an effective mechanism to weed out bad...
