Closet Traders — Local services in Grayslake

I have had many wonderful shopping experiences at Closet Traders. They are located across the street from the Grayslake Village Hall in a gray building. Also across the street from the Grayslake Feed Sales. They have really cute clothes for children and adults. My friend got a great pair of boots there and they also have some shoes. Their holiday items are always unique. It reminds me of spending time with my grandma and escaping into my childhood. They also have great stuff and many local artisans sell their stuff here. This is one of the few stores that sells Grayslake souvenirs. I love their selection of canvas bags and how they change with the seasons. The wax melts and candles and license plate crafts are also unique to our area. They have a points program so you can earn discounts on future purchases. I love that they post daily pictures on Facebook so you can see (and be tempted). In summer, she even has some garage sales with great deals. ...

The owner and ladies working there were very welcoming and very pleasant / customer-savvy. The store has lots of parking space just in front of the entrance door, and it is centrally located in downtown Grayslake. I left several brand name items for sale. Three months later the items were not sold, and they were kind enough to notify me. I picked up the items one month after I was notified, due to unpredicted circumstances. It took some time to find them which I was perfectly fine with BUT, they put the clothes on top of the shoes (black) and the color, or the shoe polish came / ran off on three of the items and left black stains. The items were thrown into a grocery shopping bag, unfolded (kind of like rags). This does not compliment a reputable store! I hope that in future the store won’t repeat such incidents. Beautiful shop with so many hidden treasures. Everywhere I look there’s something new and cool. And every time I come in, there are always fresh finds.
