I couldn't decide between a three and four for this rating. I gave it a 4 because despite all the things that I find frustrating about Super 1, I believe it is the best grocery store in Great Falls. I love that there is a huge organics/natural section (though it is inconveniently located within the store). I love the products they stock (though they are often out of what you need when you go...it is very hit or miss). I love the staff when they are nice (again...it is hit or miss). It feels welcoming in the store as well as clean. Probably my biggest frustration is how difficult it is to compare prices in the store. I wish all the organics were located right next to their nonorganic counterparts so you could compare and also know what they do and don't have organic. It is VERY hard in the product section to find labels and prices for items because they are above the produce (this is probably the store's biggest flaw). This makes it difficult for short people [me] or elderly/disabled to see prices; however, I still chose this over the commissary and other grocery stores because I can usually get MOST things I'm looking for...
Read moreI have to point out that my experience isn't all bad, however, what is not so great is the reccuring theme they have. They have great deals and coupons every week...but their sale items are rarely available. The shelves tend to be empty and often times if I ask a manager about it, they come out with cart fulls of the item that is just not stocked on shelves. If they don't have it, they tell you to come back tomorrow. I will go back the next day only to have a repeat of day prior, with no item and come back tomorrow. A Lot of wasted time. Their warm meal deli bar food is 90% of the time super nasty, dried out and inedible. I can say that the staff is almost always very kind, accommodating and all around nice people. The store is always very clean and they keep up with the cart returns so you never have to worry about your car being damaged by run away carts that are left all over the parking lot. So my feelings and reviews are very mixed. I like going there and appreciate the great deals, but it's not always worth the...
Read moreI have been to different Super 1 Foods markets, in different states. I know they are independently owned, and that is what really is evident in the stores. Each has unique things about them, whether it is the brand they carry, the variety of choices, the level of service, or the size of the stores. This is about the largest I have ever been in, and it is reflected in the amount of stock on hand. There was nothing on our list that we did not find. There seemed to be employees around every corner we turned, all of whom asked if we needed any assistance. Maya, our cashier, was quite efficient and fast, sand got through our large shopping excursion, while at the same time apparently giving guidance to young man who was training in the process of bagging groceries. I'm sure that we will be back in the future...
