Rio nails is very clean and beautiful on the inside. The parking lot always has ample parking. The staff is nice. My 2 star review is due to the quality of the actual work. I went in for a gel manicure and my nails are shorter, but still have a little tip. The first nail tech was very nice, appeared to do a good job, and gave me a warm towel when I left. The gel manicure was $48 before tip, which I thought was fairly expensive as my usual is $34. After 48 hours, my nails began to chip and peel off. I thought maybe it was just a few random nails, but then they all began to peel and chip off. I went back 6 days after my original manicure. Angela fixed them fully with extreme precision. Well 4 days after she fixed them, my nails began to chip AGAIN. I really wanted to like this place, but frankly after 2 different nail technicians, both with chipping nails after a few days, I won’t be back. I highly discourage anyone from coming here if they have shorter nails and are looking for a gel manicure. It’s also important to note that they do not have OPI or DND colors - only Anthony Vince and another brand which I found strange. I thought this would be a good option but I'm disappointed in the service received the last two visits. I called to schedule and appointment with one person and was asked if someone else could do my pedicure. My answer was no. When I got there, someone else "needed" to do my pedicure and that person did not do a good job. This was the second time this happened. This time, the other person scraped my heel so bad I had to get a bandaid when I got home and the polish is not even on my toes. When I told my nail tech what happened, she said "oh, she scraped too hard". That was not breaking news. Beautiful nail spa! Very friendly and welcoming, They give you 5 star service and treat you like royalty! I got SNS and a pedicure on Friday 6/7. Nail color 188, I think. They also have matching colors for toes and nails whether you get SNS, gel, regular nail polish etc I got SNS on my nails and regular polish on my toes and they are they exact same color. If you are looking for a nail salon/spa, I highly recommend Rio Nails & Spa, and if you need recommendations on who to see, Angela is who you need to ask for.
