My boyfriend ordered last night. He got hime with our take out i opened my steak and I went to start cutting it i seen there was something black on my steak. I thought it was a hair, but it wasn't.... it was a what I'm assuming is a grill brush bristle. Very sharp. It could have really done damage to my mouth, throat or stomach or even worse it could have hurt my kids. I am very not happy. I would like corporates number.. I didn't even get to eat my food because I was terrified that there may be more. This place isn't cheap and I had to waste a whole meal. I have the pictures and I also kept the sharp item that was in my food. This is not ok. It doesn't give me the option to upload the photos so I would like to settle this with corporate. Absolutely ridiculous EDIT TO ADD: I have called multiple times and keep getting the run around about the manager not being in. I have asked for corporate number multiple times and of course the employees do not have it. If me and my children would have ate that that bristle would have done some serious damage l. I called another location in Sharon ville. They were very respectful, but the manager there doesnt have the corporate number but has the number to the manager at the Harrison location. He can't give it to me which is understandable. He said he will talk to him when he sees him,but doesnt know when that will be. I won't give up. This could have really hurt someone, could have hurt me and...
Read moreThis was our second time here, and we brought an out-of-towner. Even when busy, the parking lot is quite spacious and had a few options available. El Rancho Grande has lots of options for those without dietary restrictions, but very few for the health-conscious, which is a little disappointing. They have 5 vegetarian options (some of which can be made vegan). Corn tortillas are available as replacements for flour.
The food was excellent, but the service was subpar. We weren't greeted by the hostess (I greeted her). She glanced at us, asked, "Three?" and grabbed menus. The waitress wasn't very friendly, either. It's a shame because the food is good and the atmosphere is great!
Overall, the experience could have been better with more professional workers and a little more menu creativity, but it's not a bad place to go for dinner. Recommended, but...
Read moreNormally, I’d give this restaurant 4-Stars, but our experience tonight, left much to be desired. The staff were not properly wearing face masks, there was no social distancing between tables in the dining room. Our waiter was super friendly and helped as much as possible, although there was a slight language barrier. The strawberry margarita was on point. The pollo loco and taco salad were great. The burrito California was tasty even with an over abundance of cream & cheese (way more than normal - burrito was swimming in sauce). Usually my burrito is bursting from the seams with steak, but tonight, I was digging through rice to find it. Sadly, they dropped the ball. Until they get the safety standards together, we won’t be back. Hope, we can give an updated review...
