Honadle's Fine Chocolates is Perfection!!! 🍨 💓 The Ice Cream and chocolates are handmade by the owner with only the freshest high quality ingredients. The waffle cones are rimmed in chocolate (he also has waffle bowls) and are freshly made. Fresh Real Ingredients in the Ice Cream & Chocolates and Oh So Yummy!! Bob, the owner, made the Buckeye ice cream fresh that morning (hubby had it) and it was so creamy and topped with a peanut butter drizzle! I tasted the Key Lime (I felt like I was in the Keys). I settled for the Butter Pecan, but it was a tough choice… So yummy!! 👏🏻💕 I had had the chocolates many times before and wanted to stop by to try the ice cream. Today I happened to check my email around 2:45 PM & noticed that the ice cream flavor of the day was "LEMON LAVA". Though I only live maybe a mile from this decadent store, I called to see if there was any more Lime Lava left; luckily there was enough for 2 bowls, which I pleaded to reserve. Racing, within the Hartville speed limit graciously claimed my sweet/decadent treats. When I arrived home my wife, who LOVES lemon deserts, & I sat down to share one of the bowls. The first pleasure, unexpected, was a square of white LEMON candy, which was "Heavenly" - Bob should be encouraged to add this to his magnificent confectioneries. I have never been a connoisseur of English toffee, but after being gifted both milk and dark variants from Honadle, I'm a convert!

I do like well-done chocolate, and these toffees are shrouded in smooth-tempered quality. The toffee itself was, however, the revelation - snappy, but yielding, almost effervescent on the tongue, perfectly caramelized - not at all what I (used to) think of as toffee, but now the standard.

Plus, I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, Bob, and he is nothing if not passionate about what he does, which he has been doing for decades, leading a family effort. These are good hands from which to receive a hand-made treat.
