I am enrolled in the hvac course. The school has decided to tear out our lab in the middle of our school year. Showing that they don’t value the education of the students or their promise to be a “hands on” facility. Also, they have fired our teacher with NO REPLACEMENT OR BACKUP with the position listed on indeed.com. They have shown zero professionalism and haven’t given us any explanation of what the plan is the rest of the year and won’t answer the classes questions. We are currently paying and wasting our time for a program with NO teacher and NO lab. When asking staff about a refund they become hostile and defend their case. I had mentioned contacting the better business bureau and a lawyer to the administrator. She had replied with “ it would be a shame if I was no longer welcome at their facility. I don’t recommend the nursing program. After our program coordinator have been removed it’s has been a nightmare. There hasn’t been any structure. The instructors they have hired recently is not good at teaching. They be confused and it makes us confuse. They give us these instructors for our hardest courses, and it’s just horrible because we not getting it they aren’t teaching using different learning styles. We all have to use other resources to understand everything. It’s crazy. YouTube has helped more. If you ask for help it’s no patience from certain teachers.. There is only one teacher who cares. She puts her heart into teaching us. I really love her. We all pass her exams. HVAC student here, and let me just say that this year the way the our class was handled was horrible. First our lab was gutted without warning. This change hit us very hard since we are a hands on trade. Mind you they gutted our lab during the weekend somewhere in November. And we're still without one. In addition to firing out teacher as of recently. So now we are without a teacher and a lab. Granted they did send out an email saying our teacher will no longer be working with us but that was it. No explanation on how we’re going to be moving forward or anything. Time and money have been wasted on this program especially us people who have jobs and families and are sacrificing that by coming here. This is very unprofessional. Compensation is needed.
