I was part of a large group of 25+ students and their parents. We bought a package that included 6 pitchers of drinks (one pitcher per lane). We were given 2 pitchers of lemonades, 2 pitchers fruit punches, and 2 pitchers of tap water. Most places if not all do not charge you for tap water, but Greenacres bowl does. They included the tap water as our other 2 drinks. So we basically were forced to pay $6 per pitcher of just plain tap water. I spoke to the manager and told him that I didn't understand why the 2 pitchers of tap water were being charged. I asked him if he could take the untouched tap water pitchers back and give us another lemonade and fruit punch instead but he refused. He wouldn't hear any of it he said that that's the way and was unwilling to compromise. His demeanor was very rude and standoffish. Then he went on to ignored me told me he would only talk with the coordinator of the party (I was a paying customer). I was treated so poorly I can't believe anyone can be in a service business can get away with treating customers like that. The manager then went to speak to the coordinator of the event and she expressed the same concerns I brought up. She again asked if he would take the two untouched tap water pitchers back in exchange for the drink orders we wanted and he again refused. She said she wasn't happy with this outcome and would be considering this in the future when we planned our next event. The manager told her good, he didn’t need the business it was only 6 lanes we took up and didn't care to lose us as customers. He told us that his boss would side with him 100%. My husband stepped in and walked away with him. The manager ended up giving us one pitcher of fruit punch to my husband, and my husband bought additional pitchers as well. I found the manager of this establishment to be to be very disrespectful and inflexible. I won't be surprised if they start to charge per napkin used...
Read moreTook 13 people there to celebrate my son's birthday. $300 for 2 hours, 3 lanes, and shoe rentals. Decided to forgo pizza due to high prices, got 3 pitchers of liquid (2 soda, one water) and 4 sides of large fries/tots $74 with tip. Went back to refill a pitcher with water, they charge almost $10 for a pitcher of tap water. They usually have a fountain, but it is currently out of order. It almost ruined my evening I was so irrate. I'm sorry but it is unethical to charge for tap water. They don't allow guests to bring in their own water, then charge? The manager was rude and unapologetic, "sorry m'am that's my policy." My policy is to leave 1 star reviews for terrible customer service. I had to do some deep breathing to calm down. I have let it sit 24 hours before writing this. But others should be prepared to pay for tap water (not bottled or filtered) at a sports facility that won't allow outside water to be brought in. This should be illegal. Water is necessary for survival and should be a required service at a sports facility. Are they going to pay for water related medical emergencies?
It pains me to give such a poor review because everyone else was helpful and friendly. Our lane quit working it wasn't returning balls. They reset it, someone was in the back and sent the balls up for us. It still wouldn't work so they offered us a lane far from the 2 lanes of our group, but we only had 5-10 minutes left so we let it be. The boys at the front and those helping with the lanes were awesome. Even the food court kids were fine, just the manager is terrible. I would think a customer that already forked out almost $400 could get a free pitcher of water, I would be wrong!
If you want a better review change your water policy. If you need to charge for cups, charge for cups $2-3 max. We already had paid for our cups so that...
Read moreMe and my friends went to bowl on a Monday night when they apparently have a special of two people and unlimited games for $15.00. We weren't offered this special and we paid $24.00+ for 4 games and two people. Later on we found out about the special of the night that was offered to our other friends who met us there. We continued to bowl until our games ran out. We later confronted Aaron to get the manager for us so we can get more games since we overpaid even though they had the special. Aaron said he didn't know who the manager was and needed us to speak to Mike. We waited in line to speak to Mike who told us that even though we overpaid we weren't able to get more games unless we paid more money. We explained to him that we didn't know of the special that was going on hat night and that he never offered it to us, letting us spend more money for less amount of games. He was very rude and kept repeating "Are you done? Are you done yet?" When he was asked why he didn't explain to us that there was a special that night he said "Okay I didn't tell you? And? And so what?" I am so disgusted with the way I was treated. I don't go bowling often so I don't know the daily specials of this bowling alley. I feel that I should have been offered the special of the night or when I tried to make it right and come to an understanding I wouldn't be treated so condescending. Mike was a rude person and I don't recommend this bowling...
