The place is big and has good selection of produce, if you show up at the correct time. There are often a variety of rotten and or rotting produce and its hit or miss on the items they do offer that are not preserved. Meat and seafood are also this way but again you, as a shopper, have to be selective. That said, the service is atrocious. People always talking about you or with disrespect in Spanish or creole and it's blatant and unacceptable. Ive even been told to shut up by employees for voicing concerns. Management does nothing to help and the service is tacky and leaves a lot to be desired. Go alone and with a strong heart. I'm being very very kind giving 2 stars. I purchase a ticket on Wednesday but realized that I didn't received it when I got home . I made several phone calls to the number provided on the receipt but no one answered . On Saturday I bought the reciept in and explained that I didn't get the ticket I paid for but the manager flatly refused to give back my money or the item that was legally mine. She never check to verify but told me no. A customer waiting in line saw what was going on and gave me back the money I paid for the ticket These workers barely speak or comprehend English . Are you from the Caribbean? Do you like food from the Caribbean? Then this is the store for you. I found items in the store that I haven't seen in many years and certainly not in a lot of the Americanized stores. My one big disappointment is the pricing. While there are some items that you can get a good deal on it is my opinion that many items are overpriced. I wonder why that is? They have a very nice selection of vegetables and fruits. I thought the fish section was as good as any fishmonger store you can find. I also noticed that you can buy many items in bulk such as a beans and rice.
