I’m so, so happy I got my dress here. From the first phone conversation, Cristen totally understood my vision and explained how their shop operates the search process. We discussed my budget and that was really nice to go into your appointment knowing everything you’re trying on is in your budget. I brought my mom and maid of honor and they were seated comfortably at one mirror station while another bride and her crew were searching at a station nearby. Both of us to-be-brides had our own viewing space, dressing rooms and attendants so I totally felt like I was being taken care of. (In other shops I’ve heard attendants can be spread thin to accommodate several parties at once.. chaos!) My attendant was Alexa, and from the moment I met her I could tell how knowledgeable she was. With each dress I tried on we went over what I did or didn’t like and she used that information to pick the next dress. For me, however, I had searched back through Aliber’s Instagram and Facebook photos and found some dresses that caught my eye before my appointment. I texted the shop number and they said one was discontinued but they’ll pull the second one for me to try on as well as similar dresses. (That’s another plus, being able to text vendors at your convenience ... makes life SO much easier!) So even though I went into my appointment knowing a good idea of what I wanted, I listened to the advice of several wedding forums to “go in with an open mind and try on different styles.” Wedding dress shopping should be fun! How often do you get to do formal dress up?! I found my Yes Dress, and tried on a few more shapes just to rule other styles out, but when you know, you know. Alexa brought me over several hair accessories to try on just for fun to see which lengths I liked better and there was no pressure to buy any of them that day — again, dress shopping should be fun, no pressure, no chaos. I 100%...
Read moreAlibers has been not only the worst experience in dress shopping but one of THE WORST customer service experiences I have EVER had, and I work in customer service myself. I made an appointment, arrived on time, was shown to a side dressing room with two dresses to try on. No one helped me into or out of the dresses and I literally had to grab someone as they walked by and ask them to please clip the dress so that it wouldn't fall off. One of the dresses I loved but I was informed they no longer contract with that company so they can sell me the sample but not order one. That didn't seem like a problem to me so I put $100 down on the dress with the intention to pay the remainder. Upon speaking to other professional seamstresses they advised me that the amount that needed to be altered was substantially more than any seamstress should ever advise. We're talking about going from a size 14 sample to a size 4 for me. I called Cristen and expressed my concern to her. To begin with she interrupted me in the middle of my sentence, then rudely demanded that they were professionals and why would I speak to anyone else. She then informed me she had given me a great deal on the dress, mind you, she took $75 off a sample dress for a company they no longer contract with! She said she took my money as a show of good faith that I was going to purchase the dress, which I had every intention of doing until I expressed my concern and she made absolutely ZERO effort to reassure me that it was ok to adjust a dress that much. In fact her response to my concerns was so horrendous I would rather throw away the $100 I put down (which she said she will ABSOLUTELY NOT refund) and go somewhere else and order the same dress than have to deal with her ever again. I wouldn't recommend Alibers or Cristen to a single person. What...
Read moreI started my wedding planning journey in 2022. At that time there was a lovely sales associate Reann who helped in making my selections for bridal gown shopping. She made my experience so pleasurable that I wanted my entire bridal party to shop at this boutique in the hopes of "shop local" and give smaller businesses the sales.
Reann left the business in Feb 2023 and it has only been the owner Cristen and her mother in the shop. The shop is not the same, the service is sub par now and the owner doesn't appear happy to help or even greet you.
Unfortunately , when Cristen is in front of the mouse and ordering dresses, mistakes were made.
1st - The Mother of Bride gown came in and I was not with my mother when she picked it up failing to pickup that it was incorrect style that was ordered. There is a no refund or return policy once the dress has left the store so we were left taking home the incorrect gown at over $400.
2nd - My matron of honor was pregnant at the time of her gown shopping and with Reann onsite we had a lengthy discussion on sizing based on due date and birth of the child. Cristen ordered one size to large against what had been discussed and when it came time to make alterations the front of the dress no longer had the overlay details we were trying to achieve since the dress was simply to large and there wasn't enough time to get another dress.
Alterations - My suggestion is go elsewhere. Between my mother's dress, matron of honors dress and my dress were we all left quite disappointed for the large...
