On August 11, 2024, my twins & I visited this store to shop after attending a nearby bookbag event. After proceeding through the outside automatic doors, we attempted to go through the other set of automatic doors which would lead us inside the store. My daughter, age 8, tried to walk through these automatic doors (which my son & I both saw open & tried to follow behind) when it closed on her. When I heard her say ouch, I knew there would be trouble. With no signs posted about the malfunctioning of these doors, we did not forsee this happening. The manager, a black male, loudly talking, came from the office saying, "She walked right into the door. Yall know this door is messed up. Let me open this for someone else is hurt." As I'm rubbing my daughter's shoulder & asking her repeatedly was she okay, she pointed to her knee which was giving out & causing issues for her to walk around the store. The manager asked if she was okay, waved us off, & went back into the office without truly checking on us. To make matters worst, I had to get a handicap cart for her to roll around in at the store to finish our shopping. A young man, who hadn't been to work in a while, approached my children, while I was down the aisle, asking them to get off the cart due to a previous icident involving children. I politely informed him that my child had just been injured by the doors & is having trouble getting around the store & would not be getting up from this cart. My family & I just relocated to this city a month ago. The manager I felt handled things very poorly. I love Food Lion stores but I am hoping someone will do the right thing & make things right. These photos shows the bruises she's sustained from the icident. Everyday since she's been in pain. I've taken her to urgent care & her doctor. I'm a single parent who is missing work which is the only income & means to provide for my family. Hopefully management or corporate reaches out because my child didn't deserve this poor lack of care delivered by...

Itās 4pm on a Friday. Itās not the cashiers fault. They have nice cashiers. I hope they figure out why their quality has gotten so bad. The community needs them to get it together. They have a good business but it wonāt continue. The meat department has gotten bad enough that Iām going to start shopping somewhere else. They are overstocking and trying to repackage the steaks except for whatās on sale. I have wasted hours on different days trying to buy the meats listed in the weekly ad and I notice the the other steaks turning color but still having days left on the āsell byā date. When I ask about the on sale meat they say they donāt have any. The do not often even stock the seafood š¦ listed in the weekly ads anymore it seems. They have some good people working here but Iām tired of trying. It didnāt used to be this way here. Imo this is a nice neighborhood grocery store with good prices and sales on most food items. I donāt buy toiletries, medicines or anything except food items here tho. When shopping ads, the prices are very reasonable. The cashiers are nice and generally everyone is friendly and helpful. They hire and train young people as they should imo. Itās funny watching some of them slowly realize that they have to work and cater to customers rather than always be catered to lol. I shop here often...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe employees at the store are wonderful, however it's a shame that they didn't prepare everything correctly. I stopped by quick to get a pasta salad for my lunch break and they had some at the deli department. However when I went to the register, it wouldn't scan and the nice cashier called his manager and went back to the deli department with the pasta salad to check for the price. They both return telling me that the deli department has set their food before they were supposed to, meaning the pasta salad didn't have a price. They kept the salad back at the deli department and I was stuck with pepperoni slices and a twix bar for my lunch.
All I wanted was a pasta salad. I know I could just go to olive garden or a fast food restaurant but I wasted my lunch time waiting in line and not even getting my food. I'm highly upset but I can do without the salad. Next time, I think they should have either put a price on it at the register since I had it picked out or given me an option to choose an alternative. Instead I was told "sorry" and he proceeded to scan my twix bar and pepperoni slices that I was going to eat along with the...
