Overall, it's a decent setting for an outdoor concert, or at least it has the potential to be, but it has some issues. First, the reserved/assigned seats are TINY. Both my husband and I are tall and mid-plus-sized, and we were incredibly uncomfortable the one time we purchased assigned tix--will never purchase those kinds of seats again here. The last time we went, we chose lawn seating, which was decent and was a better option for us, but those lawn chairs they rent have seen better days. We'll probably purchase our own for future events. Also, the small womens' bathroom is really unable to handle a large female crowd. At our last event, the line grew so long that women started spilling over into the mens' bathroom. And, the women's facilities ran out of soap and toilet paper before the show was even halfway over. Having an attendent in the bathroom would greatly reduce either of those happening as long as they pay attention to those needs...I never saw an attendant in the bathroom the whole night. The bathroom situation was really bad; the facility needs to be expanded to include at least double the number of stalls and it needs more than 2 sinks for handwashing. And, one of the entrance areas to the bathroom is right at the handwashing station, so it created such a mob of people in such a tiny space, making the whole experience just feel gross. And lastly, there really needs to be better regulation or managing of alcohol sales. Would love to see a drink limit of some sort rather than that what seemed like unlimited sales to already-inebriated people. The drunk crowd really diminished the experience to the point we left early at the last event we attended. It felt like we were at a bar that just happened to have live music, and the event was sold out, so it really felt like SRO, and having drunk people surrounding you, sloshing and stumbling around, just isn't our idea of a good time. We will probably be a lot pickier about any events we attend at White Oak in the future due to the...
Read moreYou need a camp chair not a lawn chair The Theater is poorly organized and managed.
The bring your own lawn chair is a scam. It's clear that their online policy does not match their money grab policy that forces you to rent a chair from the venue.
The management should have included photos of acceptable chairs on the website. Staff members were approaching guests and telling them that their chairs were not acceptable.
One hour is not enough time The gates did not open till 6:32 PM and the concert started on time at 7:30 PM. Concert goers were still trying to get in at 8:00PM The booth to buy the rental chairs are near the entrance and causing chaos. The vendors are near the entrance and causing chaos.
I have visited a lot of park in the US and this is the only one I can remember that do not allow you to bring in a cooler or empty water bottle. There's not access to water dispenser like most venues. I get the cooler but no water. Money Grab.
Nice venue but POOR Management
WHITE OAK AMPHITHEATRE POLICIES Chair backs not to exceed 32” in height measured from the ground and chair back. LIES all lies
I added photos for you to see the height of the chairs. The small beach chairs or pay $5 a chair. I'm glad I brought my...
Read moreHad seated tickets to a show. They moved it indoors to the Greensboro coliseum special event center which doesn't have seats but was standing room only. I only bought the tickets a few hours before the show and this wasn't disclosed. They didn't tell you the lack of seats until you were inside the show. Then said because I purchased resale tickets through Ticketmaster, they could not refund the tickets and I had to contact Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster says they cannot refund the tickets because they were scanned to get inside the venue. Also had to pay $20 for parking before you can find out all this information. So basically Ticketmaster and white oak amphitheater committing a scam by selling seats to a venue they already knew had changed since they had to set...
