We have been to Dr. Mike 2 times now. Once for my son and once for my husband. Both experiences were fantastic! Normally, my husband will go even if he doesn't feel comfortable, but after being to Dr. Mike, he doesn't want to go anywhere else. My son has always ALWAYS feared the dentist, and he is perfectly comfortable with Dr. Mike. All around amazing experience. Fantastic staff, nice, not pushy, and don't make you feel like you are just there to buy the doc a new boat. Dr. Mike actually CARES! It is an amazing feeling when you find someone that is dedicated to you and the health of your teeth, not just there for the money.

UPDATE: After going for 2+ years now, we have gotten to know the staff. Dr. Mike, Dr. Joe and Melissa are amazing and are who keep us going back even though we moved 40 minutes away. Melissa, our hygienist, will say she is sorry even when she isn't hurting you. She is so gentle, she makes you not regret going in for your cleaning.

Although, I will say Sue, the office manager, can be condescending and at times have passive aggressive behavior that makes you want to leave and find a new dentist. She makes you feel you are making her job harder if you have to cancel a last minute appointment. She will actually say, "Our job is really hard to fill the doctors schedule, and last minute cancelations make it even harder for us." And says its frustrating. I understand they have a job to do, and cancelations can leave an open spot, but life happens. I have been called more than a few times, saying there was a cancelation to see if I want to come in early. I have worked in an office, that's not hard. Also, cancelation fees are not posted! I understood it to be $25 then was surprised with a $75 cancelation fee. I don't mind the fees, but post them so you aren't surprised by it after getting her sob story of how hard her job is. I will admit I got frustrated with her after the shock of the fee and I said I was sorry. All she did was go on about how hard her job was and perked up and was nicer when I said Dr. Mike is what keeps us coming back because we were thinking of finding someone closer to home because of the drive - she immediately asked if I wanted to also cancel my kids appointments. I THINK she misunderstood what I was saying but WOW! most people if they think you're leaving the practice don't ask if you want to cancel all appointments, they try to keep...

I don’t even know where or how to begin writing this review. What brought me to this particular dentist were the countless 5-star reviews. I have a HUGE phobia of dentist. Growing up in foster homes resulted in a lack of dental care. The care I did receive was poor in quality, that eventually turned to a distrust of dentist, low self-esteem due to bad teeth, and anxiety. Therefore choosing the right dentist was of the utmost importance. I haven’t been to the dentist in YEARS even though I’ve been paying for the insurance. In researching the right place, I came across this office and read the reviews. So I booked my first appointment last year. Even after my first appointment, which was a cleaning, it took me a year to come back because of my anxiety. So I made another appointment and this time it was for fillings. I explained to the dentist how bad my anxiety was and how hard it was for me to be there. He told me everything he could do to ease my fears. And he did just that. Today I went in for my fillings and the experience was so pleasant that I actually can’t wait to go back in two weeks to get more. I never thought I would ever say that. I actually CANT WAIT to go back to the dentist!! Who ever said that there is no such thing as a painless dentist is a liar.

What sets this practice aside from others is that they listen. They WANT to know your past experiences and strive to be better than that. They ask questions. They WANT to know how you feel. This is a key component of excellent dentistry. But most importantly, they do what they say they will do. They will come up with a plan, and stick to it. If they tell you it won’t hurt. Then IT WONT HURT!

I’ve written a lot of reviews. But this one is by far the most important. Because I know there are a lot of people out there like me, who has chest pains thinking about going to the dentist. I had to leave a review because I experienced something yesterday that I haven’t felt in a long time. I left Mango Dental feeling genuinely satisfied with a service I had invested in. In 2025, it often feels like customer service is disappearing and attention to detail is almost non-existent in many businesses—but not here.

From the moment I walked in, I was taken care of quickly, and I could tell the scheduling and preparation had been done with thought to make my visit as smooth and efficient as possible. At the same time, I never once felt rushed. Too often in the past, I’ve felt like just another number being pushed through the motions so the office could move on to the next person. That wasn’t the case here. Instead, I felt like I was visiting family who truly cared about giving me the best treatment.

Even though I was just in for a routine visit, I was warmly greeted by the two owners and several staff members. They were all kind, welcoming, and professional. When it came to discussing treatment options, they were transparent and never tried to upsell me with unnecessary or expensive choices. That level of honesty means a lot to me.

I quickly established trust with this team and can say with confidence that I’ll be a customer for life. Nobody looks forward to going to the dentist, but I actually look forward to my next visit knowing there are still people out there who take pride in their work and treat their patients with respect and dignity.
