I rarely write reviews, but today is an exceptional case! I want to express my extreme disappointment with the service I received at your store today. My son and I visited to purchase meat and cakes for a holiday celebration, but unfortunately, our experience was anything but pleasant. Upon arriving at the store, we were forced to wait approximately 15-20 minutes, just to ask about purchasing cakes. Despite our patience, no staff member came but we asked the workers to help us. The girl who was selling strawberries nearby smiled and said - wait). Frustrated by the lack of attention, I approached the checkout counter to seek help, only to be met with hostility from the cashier girl. Not only was her demeanor extremely unfriendly, she also displayed a complete lack of professionalism. She stepped on my foot, didn't even apologize, and headed towards the cake section, she asked what kind of cake we wanted, but when I said that we needed 3 cakes, she responded angrily, stating that she was only a cashier and incapable of assisting us. To make matters worse, she rudely demanded that I remove my service dog from the store, despite providing her with the necessary documentation proving its status. As someone who values calmness and avoids conflict whenever possible, I was utterly shocked and appalled by this encounter. Consequently, I chose to abandon my intended purchases and leave the store immediately. It's worth noting that I had planned to spend between $300-400 on goods today, but due to the unacceptable treatment we received, today your store lost a client who spent about 1 thousand dollars a week. I'm always waiting 5-10 min to purchase a cake, but today 20 min is simply unacceptable, especially for a store with prices like yours. Read moreNot sure what happened to the old Balducci‘s? The produce department where they keep the cut up fresh fruit in containers is always dripping wet and the labels can barely be read. There used to be a few containers that had longer expiration dates but now they all seem to expire at the same time. The fruit is not the quality that it was for many years when I shopped there. I recently bought a container of melon it was over $12 and when I got Home all of the melon was rotten and stunk to high heaven. It was beyond overripe and was was nasty and foul!. The shelves are not stocked as frequently as they used to be, new less expensive dairy products are replacing old favorites… Starbucks dark roast refrigerated coffee is no longer on the shelves. Yesterday: Poland spring sparkling water in orange flavor (or other Varieties) were nowhere to be seen. The bread aisle by the bakery has also changed and the great sourdough bread that they used to carry which was excellent has been replaced with an inferior product that has no taste or flavor. Shopping here is no longer a necessary part of my three times a week trip. I guess I will have to look elsewhere perhaps Whole Foods. What a shame! Read moreI ordered catering for a Friendsgiving for this past Saturday, including the apple cider turkey, Brussels sprouts, and cornbread stuffing, and unfortunately, I did not have a good experience.
First, the heating instructions were incredibly confusing. There were no clear, detailed directions for properly reheating the apple cider turkey. I had to call after I was home and was transferred to three different people before someone kindly took the time to explain what to do. While I appreciated their help, I chose catering for convenience and shouldn’t have to call after given paper instructions that were confusing.
As for the food, the turkey was moist (a positive), but it lacked flavor overall, which was disappointing for a centerpiece dish. The cornbread was inedible—it had a very strange, unpleasant taste. The Brussels sprouts were just okay.
I wouldn’t choose this place for catering again. I hope they improve their instructions and food quality...
