Terrible service. The lady that helped me was great, and I'm not writing this review based on her. However, I ordered a simple wedding band. I guess that's called a "special order." I wouldn't know because it was my first time buying jewelry. I was told it was going to be in by the 25th of Feb. It didn't come in. I was okay because I know sometimes things happen. I called back about a week later. The man who answered seemed rude and like I was inconveniencing him. He still couldn't tell me where my ring was and he also didn't call anyone to try and find out where it was. Another week later I called, same thing happened. It was the same man who answered the other times before. He had the same attitude every time. Then I called for the last time and he finally got in contact with the lady I was working with and she called and found out the distributor said it got lost. They then told me it would be another two weeks. My question is why he couldn't call them the first time I asked where it was when it was late. Why did it take an entire month?
I finally got the ring, but then another thing happened. I had my sister in law pick up the ring because I put her name on the order as well as mine. The man was rude and acted again like she was inconveniencing him. I wasn't going to say or write anything about my experience but once she told me how she was treated receiving the ring I was over it. You see, I have never written a negative review about any business even if I was a little bit unhappy because life goes on, but this was over the top.
My husband and I still have to purchase my wedding band, but I will never buy from Kay Jewelers again. I will also inform my family and friends about my experience if the opportunity for that type of conversation opens.
I don't write this to discourage or put down the business but the costumer is never an inconvenience to the company. If anything the company is an inconvenience to the costumer. That is why you are in business. To serve. By serving you get clientele. I hope this helps you as a company so you can grow in the future. You being in business so long should already know this and I shouldn't have to make this type of review.

Update I have had 2 diamonds, both from the halo, fall out. One the day I got it, and another one last week. When I took it in to get repaired, the girl was RUDE as hell and basically said I should try taking better care of my ring and not wearing it all the time, like her. First off, I shouldn't have to do that to begin with, especially with how much it costs. If you sell quality rings, then I should be able to wash my hands and the metal NOT gradually turn colors. I still love my ring but after dealing with her and this happening twice since October 2021, if another stone falls out or the plating (that NO ONE SAID I HAD) fades again, then we will take our business and money...

My first ring broke about a month after receiving it but I gave them the benefit of doubt and decided to try again with a different ring since they offered in store credit. My second ring ended up breaking AGAIN, but I was smart enough to purchase a warranty since my first time around I wasn’t being smart. I called the store and asked what all the warranty would cover if I brought my ring back in to have it fixed, I wasn’t sure if I had to pay anything because when I purchased my ring they didn’t explain it. The lady on the phone started laughing and just kept saying “YES YOU HAVE A WARRANTY, ITS A LIFETIME WARRANTY!” She was being extremely childish and all I wanted was a “yes or no” to if I had to pay anything to have it fixed.
