Selective Seconds Consignment — Local services in Greenwood

I had left a review on Facebook, but recently discovered that they have removed the review section from their page. I find this very unprofessional. Not everyone will like your shop. Deal with it appropriately. Consumers have a right to know what to expect. My original review was basically this: They employees were not friendly. Mostly snobby. The clothes selection wad overpriced, worn out, and very dated styles. Buying designer dresses from 10 years ago doesn't cut it. I have tried selling with them twice and their offers on my like-new, name brand, high quality costume jewelry was insulting, especially after I saw what they resell it for. Didn't even offer me 1/4 of the floor price. I have been taking items to Style Encore and love it. They don't buy everything, of course, but they pay well and the employees are awesome. Took in some apparel and shoes to consign. I had several large boxes. The clerk behind the "Drop off" counter explains you must drop everything off and what we do not want we will donate to charity. I said I want to drop off and not donate. Clerk stated its not possible. You drop off the entire bundle and they will buy the items they want and they will donate the rest. So you are not able to monitor what they actually buy and sell, and what they toss to the donate bind. She said this is the only way for a Drop off. Otherwise you have to wait till late September for a appointment to show the clothes and shoes. Total SCAM for us, the people that keep them in business. While I was there I noticed that it is much too expensive. They are priced as if you had bought items brand new. "STAY AWAY!" NOT A...

Where do I start? When it comes to shopping resale, Selective Seconds is always in my top go-to places for clothes at amazing prices! (Ex: Just bought an Aqua dress a few days ago via online from their Facebook group for $17.50, when I looked online at other resale sites the lowest price I could find for the same dress was $85!) when I first inquired about it one of the wonderful staff members took time to see if it was still in stock for me and even offered a similar jacket the dress had been modeled with as well since the original jacket hadn't been the size I needed, and she absolutely made my day for it! Their customer service has always been fantastic, the Selective Seconds ladies are so friendly and their live shows are always fun to watch. Could not recommend this...
