Lastnight was a prime example why I would rather go to Fireside then bonefish. We were a party of 6 seating on 2 smaller floor tables took about 10 minutes for the waiter to see us and ask about drinks. At the same time there were 2 open bench tables so we asked nicely to move to a bench seat and were told that both booths were reserved so we went on with the night 15 minutes later (still no drinks or the normal bread and water) both benchs were occupied by 2 people. So we were thinking really? Then both tables got bread and water as were sitting still trying to get at least water. Then 2 more small tables of 2 were seated given bread and water as they sat down. She came back with drinks (about 30minutes seated so far) and we ordered appetizers and we had to ask for bread and some water. Another 15 minutes passes and all 4 tables seated after us recieved there appetizers. Still no bread or water at this point. She came back and we just ordered our food. As we ordered food the first 2 booths recieved there food. Wonder what's going on we asked another waiter and were told she's just really busy? Hum we wondered considering she already served 4 tables that sat down before us now we have been there close to an hour. Then suddenly 2 difference waiters brought bread, water, and appetizers which the bang bang shrimp were extremely soggy and slightly cold but that plate was extremely hot like they had been sitting under a warmer for 30minutes. 5 minutes later our food arrives from another different waiter so now at this point we have 2 plates if bread, 3 appetizers and 6 plates if food along with 6 drinks and 2 bottles if water all crammed on this small table. Then on top of that 1 salad was missing, 2 sides were missing and the "special" $10 Manhattan I recieved was literally mixer and a splash of bourbon. Wanting to ask the waiter which was no were to be found we asked another waiter who then brought the missing items. Now with a ton of food and drinks and alot of the food barely edible the server comes back. We give our complaints and Megan was apologetic and took a items off the bill. She might of been in training but whoever was training her did a horrible job. We got our bill now knocked down to 169$ still left a $40 tip since it will be our last time at...
Read moreBonefish Grill ruined our first anniversary. My husband and I decided to drive 30 minutes into Greenwood for our anniversary. We made a reservation with Bonefish online prior (that morning) because we knew it would be busy (given that it was also Father’s Day.) We were willing to be patient given the holiday and the excellent reputation of this location. We were seated, met our waiter to put in our drink and appetizer and then were ignored by him for over 25 minutes. Our drink order came from another waiter and then our appetizer came in the following 10 minutes (which wasn’t bad) from a member of the kitchen staff. We ordered the fried calamari and while it was good, it was a little greasy and spicy. We did expect this but we quickly ran out of our beverages and weren’t given silverware, the bread (which we heard wonderful things about) or napkins. We waited for another 15 minutes before stopping another waiter to ask for some refills and some napkins and silverware. After a total of 25 minutes, our waiter came and told us he would bring us the silverware, napkins and some refills and bread. However, another 10 minutes went by and we watched as our waiter as he went to multiple other tables but didn’t check in on us or bring us refills/napkins/silverware/bread. At this point, we hailed another waiter and asked for the manager. The owner stopped by our table and did apologize and cover the cost of our appetizer & drinks. However, that doesn’t compensate for the time we lost. We have a baby and our reservation was at 6:30 pm and we left almost an hour later. By then, we had to make the commute home so we could get our kiddo to bed. We would have stayed after but honestly for the price, we could spend 1/8 of the cost and get 100% better service at the local McDonald’s. We were beyond bummed.
Thanks Bonefish :( our first experience in your restaurant was most...
Read moreWe had a party of 5 tonight We were seated at a booth and immediately saw ants on the table. I killed 3. The manager came and said we were sitting by a window and that was the reason. Like that was ok. She then saw an ant herself. She said the pest company was due today. 😖 She moved us to another table. Our waitress took our order. I ordered a Chardonnay and she brought me a red wine. She left to consult her manager and came back and told me it was correct. That their Chardonnay was red!! I explained Chardonnay was never red but she argued that theirs was. Then the manager came and accused us of being mean to the waitress when she didn’t even know the story. We assured her we weren’t mean. I was just explaining to her I ordered a Chardonnay not a red wine. (I can’t drink red wine by the way.) Our food was very good. We all agreed on that One of my party ordered a second glass of wine and one of the staff came as we were finishing eating to say they were out of that kind of wine. But it wasn’t even the kind of wine she ordered the first time. We gave up. We told the waitress that all of the women sitting at our table had been a waitress at one time. We didn’t blame her except for her arguing about something she obviously knew nothing about. But we certainly were upset the way the manager handled it and the lack of training of the wait staff. This was a special birthday dinner and it was made terribly uncomfortable and the situation was very poorly handled. Update: I was sent a message from Bonefish with contact information so that they could help resolve the situation. I could not get the message to send after...
