I don't get this store anymore. I used to come here and find some decent deals to restore my home. I'd find something 3 of 4 times. Now, I just waste 45 minutes each visit shaking my head in confusion at the prices and the poor condition they consider acceptable for donations. I can't remember the last time I bought something here. It's really sad to be honest and I will no longer make it a destination stop.
They have expanded their "collectibles" section, but there are very little "collectibles" - mostly overpriced items they want to put near the register to keep an eye on. Case in point - $150 for 3 Pryex round casserole dishes without lids. These sell on eBay with lids for $15-20 each. Without lids, lucky to get $8-12. Mortal Combat game controller - ReStore price $150. Sold on eBay for $40-100 (higher priced includes original box and everything else). Cheap die cast cars $25, eBay sell price $8.99. Here's the thing about using eBay for reference - eBay is an international online market that has millions of customers each day looking for specific items. ReStore is a local shop that gets a few hundred visitors daily that may luck upon something they need or want.
What really frustrates me is what they are accepting for donations. This sofa in the photos has no business being on the floor at all. It is filthy - covered in pet hair, stains, paw prints and yet they are asking $50 for it. What this tells me is that they are not considering what is coming in. If they're overlooking this, you can make a reasonable assumption they are overlooking things you can't see - like pests including fleas, bedbugs, etc. Unfortunately, pests move from one piece of...
Read moreTHIS place is 1,000 times BETTER than any other thrift store I've found over the years!!! Mainly because they seem to actually CARE about their customers... they're friendly, always available and willing to help 😇 Im 60 and have to roll around on a walker, which seems to be annoying to some employees at other stores, but here, they hurry to assist me and, my being African American, does not seem to bother them either. I'm always greeted with a "How may I help you ma'am?" and a pleasant demeanor.
I find ReStores items to be of equal quality to Goodwills' items. Goodwill now charges an arm and a leg for items that are also donated [FREE]!!!
RE-STORE offers a great selection of most anything you need, especially furniture. I just purchased a sofa which is in pristine condition, for $45 !!!
If you want an honest price for quality products, and help with a smile, PLEASE TRY...
Read moreWonderful thrift store that combines Home Depot, Goodwill and the Rebuilding Center all in one. The exception is, of course, the items they sell are very low priced, due to items being used and donated.
If you are looking for some nice shoes, clothing or a new piece of furniture, you should look here first. I saw a beautiful Barcalounger there for $25! And 2 really nice couches for (if I remember correctly) $50 each! They had a variety of home remodeling items like windows, doors, flooring and cabinets. Happy to see they take paint cans with useable paint. (I never know what to do with that after Im done painting and don't want to throw away. ) Also, they had some new things like lightbulbs.
Great place to donate to as well! Super nice staff and its going to an actual charity that builds homes for people in need....
