These people can definitely talk the talk, but when it comes to walking the walk it's a totally different story. My wife and I came in, picked out a couch we liked and proceeded to purchase. Our sales person informed us that the couch was a custom order, and it would take 2-3 weeks to deliver, most likely 2 weeks. This was not a problem for us and we agreed, payed and went home. Fast forward 2 weeks. I call the store to inquire about my couch, my salesperson tells me the couch is not ready, and now informs me that it usually takes 3-4 weeks to complete the order. 3 weeks go by, another call, still not ready. 4 weeks go by, I call thinking surely the order is done by now. No such luck, I get another excuse from the sales person, saying it's going to be another week. I ask for delivery at no charge for the inconvience and the salesperson agrees, telling me the couch will be delivered next saturday and they'll call me Friday to set up a time. 5 weeks go by, its Friday evening and still no call to set up delivery. I call the store and get a hold of my salesperson. Finally the couch is ready, and deliver will be the following Wednesday. I remind him that I was promised a Saturday delivery, and he proceeds to rudely argue with me that there is no way that he could have promised me that. After a few more minutes of arguing, he tells me that the couch will be delivered by a different delivery company. In conclusion, my experience was poor as far as customer service goes at Michaels Fine Furniture. My wife and I are also in the market for a dining room table set, a bedroom set, and a few other pieces of furniture and will be looking elsewhere after...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStopped in here couch shopping this afternoon. Found a couple options, and when I settled on one and asked the sales guy about delivery, he stated it was $49.99. I thought that was a great deal, and gave the go ahead to move forward with the deal. When we got to the counter to complete the purchase and set up a delivery time, not only could they NOT deliver for a week, but he said that delivery was $69.99. When I mentioned to him that just about fifteen minutes prior he told me it was $49.99, he says "I apologize, you must have misunderstood." I replied with "I didn't misunderstand anything. You said $49.99" and walked out. I refuse to deal with such shady tactics and want to warn everyone else before they consider Michael's Discount Furniture as an option. I ended up buying from Furniture Connection and not only got a much better deal, but the sofa is higher quality. Sucks for you, Michael's. Shouldn't of tried...

After looking at the rest of the bedroom set we also chose 2 in tables and a tall dresser. I would think if you bought so many pieces you'd get a little discount, but nope. We were okay with the price. We let the store manager run our credit for financing supposed to be interest free. After an approval he says oh I have to be upfront with you its gonna be about 600 dollars more for the interest. Umm? Interest free. We let him know we'd have to think about it and left about a week later we received a Wells Fargo credit card with Michael's Fine Furniture on the front. We were not told it would be a credit card and "Upfront?" would have been before our credit was even checked and this was the store manager. Well their credit card didn't last 3 minutes in our house and it was canceled....
