Navy Lodge New London — Local services in Groton

I have stayed here for many many years navy lodge new london I have encountered just rude, unprofessional staff they is no customer service skills at all

I had to sit in the lobby for about an hour listening to the desk person get frustrated with a guest who was with his kids and then got on his phone and said that he was going to walk out if he had to deal with the situation. I asked if we should come back or if he would like to check us in first so the mans private matter was not throughout the lobby he said sit down or leave.

when When I just called and the front desk supervisor Jermaine ( not sure if I spelt it correctly ) first she left me on hold for 15 minutes, then disconnected and called back and you cant believe the attitude. If your not happy quit ! don't take it out on the men and women who serve our country and other countries.

and the continental breakfast used to be appealing , the prices go up and the quality goes down

I would not stay here again. Firstly, we arrived at 3:45 and the front desk staff said they couldn’t check us in “early.” We replied that we were 15 minutes early and if they could please check us in, which they did allow. Secondly, we were there for 3 nights and staff never once come to switch out towels and turn the room, we had to go to the front desk for new towels. Third, the hotel is not in great condition. While it is newly renovated the hotel is very musty, the sheets constantly feel damp and there is an odd smell in the hallways. The shower in our room would not get hot and taking ice cold showers was very uncomfortable, also the water would occasionally turn a brown color which was disturbing. Regardless of this, the hotel is affordable and in a good location, and the staff...

Nice room and the lobby is very nice. Plenty of parking and a decent playground for children. The reason it received 2 stars instead of 5 was the house keeping. Absolutely the worst service I have ever received. You have to schedule you cleanings if you want them to come in and do a full service. 4 days in a row I requested service. Every day I received no service and would get an empty apology and be assured that tomorrow I would get service. We are a military family PCSing to Groton and have been here for 3 weeks. I am Quite upset with this type of treatment and would recommend staying elsewhere if you have to be here for more then a day or two.
