We love coming here and we even have a table that they always sit us at . Options are great when you have a family all with different tastes. Especially if you have a sweet tooth. The prices are great to for a family. Never hurts my wallet. Some specials even come with a salad/soup,meal and dessert. Yet if you get cheesecake they will charge you xtra but not alert you. When asked about the xtra charge the girl hostess says its always been like that. Guess to her that's a good enough response. What if the first time you got the cheesecake? The only hard thing is choosing what you want because the menu is so extensive. I absolutely love trying different meals and I have not been disappointed. Tonight I had the Cordon Bleu. It was so tasty with a mushroom sauce. It had so much food that I could make 2 meals out of it. My boyfriend even got it and I like they make them their. Not predone so I asked for no cheese and they accommodated me. I highly recommend this dish. I also love the pot roast meal and the half roasted chicken. The service you receive depends on who is working. The man hostess is top notch and always accommodates us and always says we have your table ready. Certain woman hostess need to learn customer service for sure. Other than that great place for option.

This place reminds me of the family restaurants I used to go to back in the 80s. For me it was nostalgic, in a good way. The staff were nice and helpful. Plenty of seats, so there was no wait. The menu has a bunch of options for everyone in the family. We were there mid-afternoon for a late lunch. I opted for the BLT chicken sandwich (nicely seasoned grilled chicken breast with bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado on a sesame seed bun), and crinkle fries (haven't had these in years). I enjoyed my meal along with an unsweetened iced tea. My son got the kids size spaghetti and meatball. The pasta was al dente which was fine, but the sauce tasted weird (I confirmed that when I tried a bite). It was kind of sweet, but not like a typical marinara sauce. It came with one large meatball that was so dense that he was having a hard time cutting it. He's twelve and doesn't usually have a problem cutting things. He was disappointed with his meal and only managed to eat a quarter of the large portion they gave him. Honestly after trying his food, I can't say I blame him. So it's kind of hit or miss depending on the dish. The prices are a little high, but if you're just visiting the area, it's a decent choice compared to some of the other options.

To start, our waitress Grisella was pleasant, professional and courteous. The reason for three stars is that I ordered a patti melt and asked the waitress if I could have a turkey burger instead of the standard beef burger that comes on a classic patti melt. She said, “So, you want a turkey burger on bread?”. I said no. The patty melt comes grilled, on rye and melted cheese and onions. She said, “well you can have whatever kind of bread you want on your turkey burger”. So I said, I want rye, like is supposed to be on the patti melt. She said ok, and asked what kind of cheese, and told me, “because its technically a turkey burger, it will come with lettuce and tomato as well, is that ok?” I said sure. Well, I was served exactly what she said, a turkey burger on bread, and NOT a patti melt. I was disappointed that Grisella didn’t understand the difference in the menu items. The sandwich was fresh and hot, but not what I wanted. I understand the menu is huge and perhaps it’s difficult to know all the ins and outs of every single dish, but I have also worked in restaurants for many years and know there are special modification options on the ordering systems that easily could have asked for a turkey burger substitution.

The menu is HUGE. There are so many options it can be overwhelming. After debating for a while, some friends and I decided we'd just get appetizers. From left to right - we got fried pickles, lobster nachos, and a blooming onion. The breading on the pickles was thick but pleasant. They had a good crunch to them and tasted awesome, would definitely recommend. The lobster nachos were pretty evenly covered which was nice. The lobster pieces were nice and chewy, and it was a decent amount so three people could share. The blooming onion is a favorite of mine. The breading comes off easily but it's well seasoned and the zesty sauce they give you just ties it all together. Not pictured are the Reese's pieces pancakes. We were each able to have one cuz we only ordered three and it was basically our dessert. Instead of giving you plain pancakes and just topping them with the Reese's pieces, they actually cook the Reese's pieces into the pancake and they are delicious! The selection is insane, prices are reasonable, the food was perfect, and the waitress was very attentive. I love Groton Townhouse and will be going back!

I read a review on this place - OP was happy with their food but their child was not. They said the spaghetti sauce tasted weird and I concur. I got fried ravioli as an appetizer. The ravioli were so good I honestly thought they might be made on site but the sauce lacked anything resembling seasoning. It tasted like sauce straight from a can with very little else. I also got a Philly cheese steak and it wasn't bad though if the menu had mentioned that it came with roasted peppers I don't know if I would have gotten it. I like roasted red peppers on certain things but the menu said it had "grilled onions, peppers and American cheese" leading me to believe the peppers were grilled as well since other items on the menu specifically mention roasted red peppers. Service was good. My waitress was quick to bring me refills before I even had to ask and I appreciate that. The restaurant is a esthetically pleasing with plenty of parking so I could see myself coming back possibly but I would be wary of anything with sauce if I came back.
