I love this shop. Guilford hosts many wonderful boutiques, but this one really stands out. There is so much cute jewelry and designer clothing. I was just there today and found cashmere sweaters, LV silk scarves and hundreds of cute dresses and tops; the best thing is everything is somehow SO affordable and in perfect condition. I visit Guilford from NYC, where I often find consignment shops are either overpriced or have an underwhelming selection. Marijanes strikes the perfect balance between fine quality and reasonably-priced. The ladies who work in the store are sweet, helpful and easy to be around. Doing errands with my husband, I stopped in this charming boutique across the Guilford green and was very impressed. A tasteful array of new and consigned clothing, accessories, and jewelry, as well as shoes and boots, is well-displayed. Designer labels mean great buys! Lisa, the savvy owner, named the shop after her best friend Marijane, with whom she grew up, studied fashion design, and dreamed about owning a boutique. I've really appreciated the high quality and unique style of clothing and accessories that Marijane Boutique provides. Many consignment stores I've visited are not so choosy and the space ends up looking uninviting. Lisa and her team really go out of their way to maintain a boutique atmosphere in the presentation of her products.
