Our visit to Staples today was a frustrating experience. The self-service area lacked the ability to print larger 11x17" copies, forcing us to seek assistance from an associate. Unfortunately, the associate we encountered was not only unhelpful but also quite rude. They were unwilling to provide basic assistance, such as helping us find the correct paper or guiding us through the process. Instead, she insisted on telling us how busy she was, and if she had to make five copies for us, it would cost an additional 20% premium for a "rush job."
The lack of knowledge regarding how long we would have to wait for five copies was baffling. She couldn't say if it would take a day or a week without a "rush". The irritating thing is we were there only because the Library was closed. The Library, where you can make great quality color copies for .70 Cents! And we probably could have easily handled making these copies here if these options we're available at self-service and maybe they are, but we will never know...
Based on this experience, we will be avoiding this particular Staples location...
Read more(Feb '25): On my most recent visit, Michelle was super nice and helped me with my electronics recycling and in getting my recycling points for my purchase of a stack of note cards. She was very friendly, as was Debbie, the cashier who rung me up for the cards. Thank you!
(Dec '24): They had the calendar planner I was looking for but the real star of the show was the outstanding young cashier, Colin (I hope I spelled it right). While I was waiting in line, he was helping the customer ahead of me with something that the customer had many questions about and Colin was so professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, explaining everything in an easy to understand way and showed a lot of enthusiasm to make that customer have a great experience. He did such an outstanding job and when it came time to greet me, he was just as friendly and positive with me as well....
Read moreIt's not the staff's fault, we are all overworked by these types of corporations, but I had a computer problem. I have a lot of work to do before tomorrow morning and I need to buy computer. I need certain requirements so I called ahead which was not easy and asked very specifically if I can ask the type of computers they have available because I don't want to drive out here again. I've been told in the past everything's in stock and they arrive and nothing's in stock so I just want to make sure I'm not going to waste fuel driving 45 minutes.
I was specifically told they have a lot of extra stock because of Christmas so I won't have a problem so I made the drive. I waited 35 minutes to ask for help in purchasing a computer. I had money in hand, and of course almost nothing was in stock.
It's sad that we have to accept this type of service in almost every work of our...
