Firewood Farms — Local services in Half Moon Bay

This place has the worst customer service on all the coast! I paid $65 each for 2 stumps that I wanted to use as side tables at our cabin. One of the stumps sat on my deck for 2 weeks and we noticed it had started cracking down two sides. I returned to the yard to ask them to replace the stump with a new one, and suggested they cut up the old one and sell it as firewood. I was argued with in a very aggressive manner by two employees. They ridiculed me and refused to cooperate with my request. They kept insisting all sales were final and that I should have gone with plastic if I didn’t like the look of natural wood. I wasn’t asking for my money back; I just wanted another stump. These people have no business sense, no conception of how to troubleshoot, and certainly no customer service skills. Needless to say, I will never go back to give them any more...

I love coming to this place.

The owners are really fun, kind and helpful. I make small pieces of furniture and crafts and whenever I come here I always find something at a fair price that's good quality. Staff almost always go out of their way to help me find what I am looking for.

I bought a piece of elm and some walnut today that I'm excited to work with.

They have a nice little area of wood near the front thats discounted plus some large slabs of all different types of wood, great for projects.

Well organized place with a cute office. The delivery driver was smiling and happy to see me. The Irish accent yard worker walked up to my vehicle to ask how he can help and suggested a certain kind of wood for campfire. The office clerk had a beautiful aura and she was incredibly sweet and helpful. Wish they had better signage to advertise their great business and stellar customer service.
