Fancy Nails, HMB — Local services in Half Moon Bay

HORRIBLE experience. I went for a pedicure and full set of nails. The pedicure lasted all of 10 minutes, no massage, barely any scrub and nails were cut crooked. Polish was applied around my nails as well as in them. NOT the relaxing pedicure one would expect. Then, the full set... one word... OUCH! They used too much glue and it ran under the nail tip to the tips of my fingers gluing my skin to the nail tip. When filing they burnt my nails and tried pulling the skin away making me bleed. Then sliced the nail file down the side of 3 nails also making me bleed more. Again cut them crooked and left rough edges. I had to run my fingers under cold water when i got home to ease the pain and take ibuprofen. Some of them are still glued to my skin. NEVER AGAIN...

Honestly if I could give zero stars I would. This was not a great experience. I went for a pedicure and a full set. The pedicure was okay until she went to scrub the bottom of my feet, I am very ticklish and I told her, she barley scrubbed and made my feet rougher than when I walked in. Now with the full set. Every nail is a different shape and length. And very lumpy. When I left three of my fingers were burning and I looked and I have been cut with the nail file. I left very unhappy and it was not a cheap expense. It was the most I have ever paid for a pedi and full set. I left...

Kathy is so wonderful, sweet- and very talented. I have been looking for a great nail tech in HMB and she is it! Quite a bit more expensive than other salons I have tried, but the quality is far superior. I got a fresh gel manicure with builder gel and she did multiple coats because it was my first time with her. I asked for nail art and it came out so beautiful. She really perfected the shape I wanted and I am a perfectionist, so usually with my nails I can find some imperfections, but with this set I am just SO happy and they...
