Update as of 2022-02-19 I’m very unhappy with this restaurant at my latest visit. I’ve been coming here for a couple years and it has always been good service, but that changed today. I had to send my burrito back twice because both times they incorrectly added cheese. Instead of making it right and making the third burrito correctly, they wanted to argue with me and tell me it was my fault that they had to throw away 2 burritos. I made it very clear to them that I wasn’t going to be talked to that way and they agreed to make the burrito again. They wasted my time and treated me poorly. It was a completely different staff than usual so maybe that has something to do with it. The third burrito was made correctly. My advice is to make sure they have your order written...

Best Mexican food on the coast. Family-owned and operated. My favorite meat options are the al pastor and the pollo asado, though the carne asada is good too. Burritos, tacos, tortas, and platas are all solid. Horchata is tasty and there is a large selection of bottled beers and other drinks.

Excellent salsa bar. The pico de gallo + the spicier red salsa is the key. Pickled veggies are legit.

Multiple hot sauces on the table. La Virgen de Guadalupe on the wall. Menudo on the weekend. Tucked away in a strip mall. Usually more Mexicans than non-Mexicans eating there, but with a diverse and loyal local following.

Been going to Happy Taco since I was a little kid and I cant believe I have never given them a review. Best taco's I have ever had pretty much anywhere. The steak is so tasty and its got a nice outer crunchy texture to it but still juicy and not over cooked. The hot sauce is sometimes very hot which I love and sometimes not too hot which I also love. My favorite is the Super wet beef burrito(red sauce) and I also get the taco plate quite often. I don't think in the 20 years maybe more I've been going there I have ever had a bad meal.
