My go to local establishment. The only competitor in the afghan food space would be kabab paradise in parsippany but the flexibility of aryana kabobs menu/fair pricing gives it the edge in my opinion. There is simply no better value when eating out than the family combo if with a group, or the kebabs by the skewer if eating alone. Clean, healthy, flavorful food. The chicken tikka is excellent, the chicken kofta is also a massive hit if you enjoy some spice--same goes for the chicken chapli. The beef tikka is juicy and packed with seasoning. But my new favorite has to be the lamb tikka. I usually would make the 1 hr + long drive to paterson to scratch my itch for some good lamb but this local spot easily has the best I've had. The lamb is grass fed organic and it's tenderness really shines through. For those focusing on a low carb diet or for those with gluten sensitivities this place is heaven. Extremely kind staff, the owner is there more often than not and is a wonderful guy. Don't let my focus on the kebab skewers take away from the rice/qabli! To feed a family of 5-6 with clean, fresh food at less than $8 per person is simply unheard of these days. A skewer of freshly prepared chicken tikka will run you less than $5...meanwhile a small fries at mcdonalds is almost $4! Don't skip out on this place...I'd drive an hour for good food..luckily this is right in my backyard as I would be doing quite a bit of driving if it weren't! One of my favorite eateries...

Read moreI would give this place a zero star if it was possible. The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! The girl who runs the counter at this restaurant refused to serve us an hour before the restaurant closed. We drove 45 minutes to get to this place on a friend’s recommendation. We called the restaurant to inquire about timings and were told they are open until 9:30. (Even though google says 10) We called a few minutes before reaching the restaurant around 8:55 to place an order for quicker service, we were then told dine-in closes at 8:30. On a Saturday night! Seriously! When we told the girl, the timings posted on google says 10… she said all our tables are occupied; you cannot dine in.
We still went to the restaurant, The restaurant was practically empty! Only two tables were occupied by 2 couple and their kids. Tried to talk to the girl very politely by saying we drove for almost an hour to get here, can we please order and she started yelling at us and telling us how rude we are to her. The only person who had been rude was her! She was yelling at us. I have never seen anybody treat their customers this way. There is no concept of customer service...
