The reason I am writing this review? I wish I could have read this review before heading to this horrible establishment. What a con.
Most people don't realize that this "store" is not owned by AT&T. It is privately owned and is an authorized AT&T retailer. The problem with this store is the "manager" or owner (whoever the sales person needs to "call" when they have a question) is a complete loser. Let me explain. I wanted to put a hot spot device on my existing plan. No problem I was told. All I had to do was sign a 2 year contract. I told them that I wanted to buy the device outright and add it to my existing plan. That way I can control when I wanted it "active" and when I would suspend it for a few months. So you would think no big deal. They had the device in stock and I was ready to buy it and put it on my plan. That's when the sales person called the "manager" who then told the sale person that I had to pay cash for the device if I don't sign a 2-year contract. I said, "no thanks on the contract and here's my debit card." The sales person again called the "manager" and he said that I couldn't use a debit card and it would have to be cash. What? Are you kidding me?
Make a long story short, I went to the bank and got cash and went back and purchased it. Since this happened, I have gone to 3 stores that are actually owned by AT&T and each manager at each store told me that the store in Allison Park is not "owned" by AT&T and the practice of demanding cash to purchase a device you want to put on your plan is outrageous.
They said having a customer sign a 2-year plan for a new device on an existing account is worth about $4.00 to the manager. Wow. Just wow. So the owner/manager of the Allison Park authorized retailer of AT&T products made an existing AT&T customer (me) waste my time and pay cash thinking it would be too much of a hassle and I would just opt for the 2-year contract. AT&T should hammer this owner. It is a poor reflection on AT&T.
So in closing, if you want to deal with honest people, go to a "real" AT&T store (like on McKnight Road or in...
Read moreI bought a Bluetooth Headset from this store and was told I could not return them because it's a headsets, this was 1 hour later... I looked at the receipt and seen that at&t got a 7 to 14 day return policy written on the receipt. I also contacted Samsung and they advised me that the at&t store has to accept the return either way... Then I called the store back and advised them what Samgsung said. They told me I have to go to a corporate store. I then went to the Mcknight store and they said they do accept returns within the time frame, but not these headsets because they don't sell them anymore. They called this store back and the lady argued with me about returning the headset again, which then I read the receipt to the lady and explained that if you don't want things returned then don't have receipts saying you can... They finally accepted the return and I was able to get my money back. Either way, I won't be going to this store anymore for sure. They have different rules then the corporate stores and you don't want to do the same things I had to do to return something. Just drive to Mcknight... much...
Read moreI tried stopping in to get a new phone but the store was closed with multiple UPS “sorry we missed you” notes stuck in the door. I went to another store and was told people have been coming in for weeks complaining about this location. I ended up calling this locations number to verify they were there and spoke to someone. They told me they would be open until 7:30, however, when I showed up at 3:30 the store was closed yet again. I understand not having employees, but at least say you are temporarily...
