They refuse to cancel memberships unless you physically show up at their gym to do so. There is no online process, and you can't do it over the phone. I moved away only to use another locations for years, and then when I ended up with a back injury in June and couldn't leave the house, so I had my account frozen to avoid being billed.
Sometime between July and August I called around between a few different locations I've used to have my membership canceled, and this location told me I had to write a letter to get them to cancel. I wrote it and sent in the mail. I called over a month later to double check, they told me they didn't receive the letter so I had to send another and had the billing freeze on my account extended. Apprently they didn't recieve the second letter either because I was charged a renewal fee near a month after that.
Called to complain and ask for refund. The manager Brandon canceled my membership didn't call to tell me so and I didn't find this out until I called again because my calls were not being returned. I called corporate ober a week ago, and this location again just today. The visiting manager from another location just told me that I will not be getting refunded for the membership renewal fee. Having to pull phone records to prove I tried to be as proactive as reasonably possible seems like a tedious task at this point but I've not been taken seriously and this location was unreasonable in assisting me with a reasonable request. Read more(Hampton Gym) I just canceled my black card membership. The staff was always nice and understanding except for Will. He usually works in the evening after 10 o’clock. I have had talks with several employees about not being comfortable going back into a tanning bed alone. The doors lock and there are no cameras obviously, so to me I don’t feel safe going back by myself. Whenever I had these talks with other employees they understood completely and let my boyfriend come back with me to sit there with me. However, Will would not understand this and argue with me constantly about it. Tonight was my last straw. I was in the tanning bed like normally with my boyfriend sitting with me on the ground and the tanning bed turned off. So I proceeded to call the front desk and tell them. Of course Will answered the phone and told me “Well tell your boyfriend to come out and I’ll turn it back on.” (Will was not even there when we went back to the room) I got dressed, went out and tried to talk to him. Instantly he got rude and snappy. He was always rude to me to begin with. He is only nice to the older women and I have seen him being rude to other younger girls such as myself. Noted staff are Monica, Zaid & Lexi who, with the rest of the other staff members, could often be seen doing meticulous cleaning. Zaid shows excellent customer service and even make efforts to remember customers names! Monica is always religiously making sure all equipments are spotless!
