âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ Dont let the humble garage exterior fool you. The people at Simply Subs and the flavor packed into the food they are putting out is both unforgettably awesome and very addictive.
Simply Subs is an absolute gem in the Hampton community! Owner Ron is nothing short of amazingâhe truly wears his heart on his sleeve and goes above and beyond to make every customer feel welcome. His dedication to the community and his craft is evident in every bite.
The menu here is phenomenal and deserves to be explored in its entirety. That said, some standout items are the OG cheesesteaks, the mouthwatering roast beef sandwiches, and the seasonal Gobbler, which is a must-try when it's available.
Another highlight is the unforgettable Nightingale Ice Cream Sandwiches. These are not your typical ice cream sandwichesâthey're next-level indulgence and worth every bite. And speaking of ice cream, Ron is adding Simply Ice Cream to the mix, with over 20 different soft-serve flavors. I can't wait to see that fully take off!
Simply Subs offers several convenient ways to orderâwalk-up window, online, call-ahead, or delivery through DoorDash and Uber Eats. Everything is perfectly packed to go, and there's ample free parking and outdoor picnic tables for those who prefer to dine on-site.
If you're in Allison Park, make your way to Simply Subs at 4778 William Flinn Hwy. This spot is a local treasure, and youâll be coming back again and again!

Read moreFood: mediocre is too good of a term. Skimpy meat portion on $14 sub. Salt was the only "flavor". The cheese was a sauce probably from a powder. Nothing made me think it was a true cheese steak. The bread was good and fresh. I wish that wasn't the majority of what I was eating though. The fries were hot but not fresh cut like I was hoping for being that it is an independent. Atmosphere: you pretty much have to sit on your car. So...I had good music. The access is horrible in and out of that place. The threat of getting rear-ended or T-boned isn't worth the grub. Now last but not least Service: minimal order taking. The food was correct. Go Team!!! BUT.... They are self tipping! I paid with a credit card and will tip cash when appropriate. They have their iPad like screen that gets partially swung out the window with the demand to complete the transaction. There were three tip amounts shown 10%, 20%, and 30%) and the line to sign up on. Well it is very hard to see and I guess I didn't realize that 10% were pre selected for me.....!!! I signed and expected to see the total again to confirm that there either way or wasn't the auto added gratuity. I got my email message showing my receipt. Sure shitting there was 10% that I truly didn't know I was putting on there. I call that sneaky bullshit and I'll bet they do it and get away with it all of the time. No worries! Keep your "TIP"! I "SIMPLY" will never go to Simply...
Read moreI have driven by this restaurant for years and for some reason have never stopped in. A couple weeks ago, I finally stopped in because I was nostalgic for a Slush Puppy, and they were listed as the closest location. Unfortunately, their Slush Puppy machine was out of order.
They tout "REAL Mancini Bread" as a selling point, so, I decided to order food instead. BOY, am I glad I did!!!!
My first sub, and the several varieties I've ordered since, on different days, were the best subs I've had in Pittsburgh for a very, very long time. It's clear that that value quality and customer satisfaction because in addition to using obviously high quality ingredients, their food is consistently good, every time I've visited!
They are my new go-to sub shop, for sure!
Primanti Brother's up the street who also boasts Mancini bread and has been "almost famous' in Pittsburgh for decades, should take note: They have relied far too long on their reputation and THEIR food is barely edible since they began franchising, because the new King of Subs has arrived in Pittsburgh: Simply...
