Went in and set up an appointment and met with my chosen artist Erik who is in my opinion got the best skills around... And believe me i met with a lot of artists in a few different shops and looked at tons of portfolios of completed work... But I finally found Erik who style and skill was what I was looking for... On the day of my appointment I was nervous and excited as anyone with a tattoo knows those pre tat gutters of man this gonna hurt but IV e been there i can do this... Erik laughed and said everyone is like that no matter how much ink they have... Very clean and professional... Made sure I was comfortable the entire time as I have si dysfunction which doesnt allow for me to sit in one position too long without leg spasms and after explaining Erik was great and patient with me... The 3 hour session flew by and Erik didnt over work any area its now the next day and it feels great no pain... No tightness.. Excellent tattoo... Will definitely be going back once this is healed to have him finish out my entire calve and fix my lily from college lol!!! I recommend this shop to anyone who wants an awesome tattoo thats willing to pay for...

I went with Lucy Day. I knew I wanted a female artist because I felt that they would really listen to me. I came in with a vague idea of the tattoo I wanted and she was so patient with me. She explained the process, pain scale and pricing. I was told by other artists that certain colors like blue and purple wouldn’t work on brown skin. She assured me that wasn’t the case. She explained color theory for dummies (me) and we got started. The parlor was clean, well lit and professional. I was so happy I sent my nieces there to get their first and subsequent tattoos by Lucy as well.

I only wish I had placed it more on my shoulders so could admire her work without the use...

My wife and I both had work done here and at the shop in Newport News and the staff and owners were friendly, fun and willing to work with any ideas or even doing multiple tattoos at once.

These shops are so good that even their apprentices have won awards.
