As the parent of a new airman, I watched my son navigate the process of joining the airforce and learn the proper procedures. He loved working with his recruiter, Ssgt Ewa Lach. He always commented how encouraging and supportive she was. As a homeschool parent, I had to send some paperwork to prove that he graduated and she patiently worked with me while I gathered the proper documents. She also helped me with something once my son was in boot camp when I wasn’t able to contact him. Ssgt Lach goes above and beyond as she helps new recruits and their families. She is always upfront and honest with everything. I also loved how my son got to meet the people he will eventually be working with at his swearing in ceremony and the encouragement they gave. Read moreSSgt Mason was my recruiter throughout the entire process. She is hands down the best recruiter I have worked with. She took the time to gather information and give informed answers about any questions I had and was always willing to work around my work schedule. The enlistment process was painless because she went above and beyond to make sure everything was ready ahead of time. I really can't say enough good things about her. She was exceedingly professional, understanding and knowledgeable, and I would recommend her to anyone considering the Virginia Air National Guard.
Full credit to the entire office. Everyone was very welcoming and went out of their way to give my wife and I an enjoyable...
Read moreI have transferred to 6 different bases in my career and working with recruiter SSgt Lach of the VANG was the easiest, smoothest transfer I have ever done. She was very straightforward, gave me the right information that I needed. She put me in contact, face to face, with my unit right away so I would be ready and knew fellow members when I show up for drill weekend. Even try to get me a bonus, but I was unlucky, since I was a year too late. However, she gave me a nice camo backpack. If only I had her all those other times that I transfer bases. All I have to say, knowing nothing about the VANG. I definitely got an outstanding first impression of the VANG, by meeting and working...
