Greetings all. This might be long but stick with me here… I’ve had a number of reasons in my life to need Physical Therapy. The latest being Rotator Cuff Surgery (Right Shoulder.) An injury I had Pitching in High School – 45 Years ago. I’ll spare you the details but let’s just say it was extensively damaged. So, Surgery performed in June by Dr. Robin Gerhmann, all great. For the last few months I’ve been spending time with the wonderful Drs and Staff at Out of the Box Therapy. A smaller PT Facility in Cedar Knolls, NJ. I don’t usually write reviews or endorsements, but these people deserve it. You know the “Pizza Box” phrase – “You’ve tried the Rest, now try the Best!” Well, top Down from Dr Hanna, Dr Jesse, and Dr. Aaron (the new Guy) to the entire staff with Danielle, Patrick, (Courtney who’s back at School now) and Windsor (Front Dest Tough guy) and of course some nice doggies – Rudy and Cody, this is a great group of professionals that are here specifically to get you back to 100% working but the way the way they do it is with a fun, relaxed and enriching atmosphere. Coming from this veteran of PT, I’m not a fan of getting PT. It truly interrupts my workday. But once I get there that stressful feeling is gone. And what’s most important is that I am healing well. If you find yourself in need of PT, I highly recommend the team at Out of the Box – Physical Therapy, you...
Read moreDr. Sattler and his merry band of PT's are the absolute best to work with. They take the time to understand your issue (physically and sometimes mentally), are patient and engaged listeners, and provide a level of service the is unmatched Having back problems since my teenage years, I have been to may PT's and Chiro's in the past. In my most recent episodes of stupidity that caused me grief, Jessie was able to diagnose and get me back up and running again in no time. He utilizes both traditional stretching and workouts combined with the newest tech to get results fast! They will also set you up with home exercises with a phone app (they got an app for everything these days). Jesse is Jedi level with sports injuries as well, he has fixed our younger daughter's hips back and knees (collegiate softball catcher) anytime they get jacked up, Master Sattler is ready to go full Miyagi on whatever ails you, with great results. The vibe in the office is great, lots of camaraderie, everyone is happy and smiling and the cross chatter of an open floorplan is really nice. The workout area is efficiently setup, and has everything you need to make you feel right as rain. And I've never had any issues with insurance or payments as the office staff has got it going on...
Bottom line, Out of...
Read moreI have been working with OTB for several months with PT for shoulder, neck and knee pain. We did over 2 months of work with my right knee to prepare for Total Knee Replacement. Their suggestion to do pre-surgery PT relieved much of the pain and has now (had surgery July 19 22) helped my recovery substantially. Strengthening my knee joint has allowed me to recover much faster with less pain. Jesse and Hanna are excellent doctors because they care about their patients; they’re always engaged and ask how I’m feeling along with answering any questions I may have. Their dog Codey is very lovable and he’s great for therapy. In addition, the OTB staff is outstanding. Danielle and Patrick are top notch assistants; they’re friendly, knowledgeable, and always focused my exercise form. Meg (Student Resident) is also friendly and very well trained. When she stretches me she is always attentive to my comfort levels. Lastly, the OTB front desk staff (Josh & Lisa) are always friendly and fun to talk to. OTB has been a wonderful healing experience for me. I intend to continue therapy on other areas of my body when the knee PT is completed. I would always recommend OTB for the best...
