If I could give it less than 1 star I would. First there was no one to check us in for a solid 5 minutes and when he finally came to the desk he looked mad at us for being there. The hallways smelled of cigarettes and cat pee. Then we went to the room to lay down after a day of hiking nearby. When we pulled back the sheets there were brownish-red stains. The carpets in the room had either white stains or areas where the fibers were burned away (which I found strange since we booked a non smoking room). There was a used q-tip on the floor by the bed. When I opened the freezer I found a dead roach. After being in the room for maybe 30 minutes my boyfriend got up to use the bathroom and spotted a bug in bed. Upon further inspection I realized it was a bed bug and we promptly packed up and went to the car to call Hopper (the booking agency we used). After a lot of back and forth between Hopper (where we were on hold for 30+ minutes) and the hotel itself they refused to refund us since we didn't come straight to them within 15 minutes of checking in. Do not stay here.

DO NOT LET THE PRICE TAKE YOU IN! We had called and requested an early check in due to being in town for a weekend event and needed settle in early, we were told that was fine. The day of we were told we needed to come back later, around 6 pm. When we finally got to our room the smelled putrid, there were cigarette burns in the blankets and curtains. When going to the bathroom there was a heavy odor of bleach and there were bugs on the floor. We tried to call and notify the front desk, but the phone did not work. When we tried to stop by no one was available. We did not have any other options for the weekend so we had to stay and try to adapt, but even the TV and Internet did not work. Upon leaving we discovered what we thought were bedbugs, and reported while checking out. The gentleman at the front desk told me it was not a bedbug, but a roach like that is better. We asked for a refund but were that because we stayed we could not receive one for the entire weekend, just one night. AVOID DO NOT GO.

Me and my mom came here on a work trip, the second we walked in i knew it was bad, the hallways didn’t smell that bad but when you open your room door you’re hit with a stench of mildew and cigarettes. There were drawers missing from the dressers, dirt in the fridge, rusted shower and tub, weird dripping stains on the wall, left over trash, holes and stains in the bedding. Here’s where it gets worse. holes in the ceiling IN the shower, a hole above the mirror under the light. others have said they have seen movement and cameras through those holes. There were bed bugs on the sheets. Front desk person basically told my mom they knew about everything and just didn’t care and asked why it took us long to say anything about it (we dropped our stuff there and left to work). DO NOT STAY HERE.

I do not know how this place is still in business! There were some serious issues, as in safety concerns! My husband and I stayed here because we needed a place to sleep for the night before we finished our trip home. To begin with, we were only staying over to sleep. So we chose this hotel for tue price. Other hotels in the area were $75 -$110+ and for us to only be there about 6 hours seemed absurd. I no way was I expecting great quality and stylish rooms. However, I did expect, at the very least, a Clean and Safe room! I honestly do not know how the state has allowed such a poorly run down facility to stay in business. As I said we just wantned a place to sleep. We got in very late, just past midnight and had been on the road for about 13 hours. The issues.... We were directed behind the main hotel to another building that has no markings to even show the two buildings are affiliated. Even the signage on this building has a different name. No big deal, just odd. Next we are walking to our room and there are piles of dirty bedding are lining the floor of the hall at almost every room. Yet, no where was there anyone working housekeeping. We finally get to our room, swipe the key card, try to open the door and the door won't open. After double checking the room number and key card again to make sure we do in fact have the correct room; my husband had to give fhe door a good shove to get it opened. This happened again when he came back from the car. If there had been a fire or an emergency, I truly have serious concerns about being able to get out of the room! In the room... it was about 90 degrees inside with the heater on full heat. The knobs on the heater are broken. As in, the knobs on the heater pull off when you attempt to adjust it. Therefore, you're left guessing as to what temperature you're setting and how strong you'd like for the fan to blow. The carpet was stained, torn, and had a huge hole in it. The furniture was chipped and worn. There was a full size, older style refrigerator/ freezer the blocked part of the heater. There were dark drip stains on the bathroom door, and the overall condition of the bathroom was very poor. Even the tub was stained black. The only barroom light is an overhead heat lamp that has regular bulbs. Not any does this intensify the light, it also intensifies the heat. This light, when on, would hiss and crackle. And lastly, the bed. The bed was thin and severely hard. The floor would have been more comfortable. It offered very little comfort. There was a sheet set and a thin cover blanket. So why, after all of this would we have stayed? Because we had been on the road for 13 hours and were not comfortable driving anymore. Pay the extra $20 for better hotel. This place is not worth the savings. I do plan on filing a complaint with the franchise. Where many of the issues were simply cosmetic, some are serious...

Good afternoon. I’ve stayed at many hotels and motels over a 30 plus career in the music industry. From 5 star to flea bag motels. These properties weren’t built the way all the reviews state. The roaches, bed bugs, damages have not just happened by the snap of someone’s finger. Now when the Ref Carpet was built the roaches and bed bugs and other creepy crawlers didn’t just decide, “ huh new home let’s move in”. No!!! Those pest were “Brought” here and multiplied. Once they do it’s extremely difficult to exterminate them. However there are solutions to all problems in any dwelling. Permanent ones. However getting approval for these method is hard to do. I’ve personally stayed in three separate rooms. One in the original Red Carpet Inn and two in the Scottish Inn and Suites building next door. I’ve have roaches for a very short time because I developed a natural non toxic solution to exterminate these pesky pets permanently. There are many natural remedies to permanently kills roaches and other pests that are effective. However those who are the extended stay are too busy complaining too anyone any everyone instead of finding them.

Important: some extermination experts and their companies unfortunately aren’t permanent solution organizations. Reason is “they are business”. They’ll come week after week to spray a non permanent liquid and nothing will happen. They know this and they do this purposely. If they didn’t they wouldn’t make the big money. Is it the right answer? No. Exterminatiors who own businesses would make more and have business if they to use permanent solutions. The second reason these places have these pests are “people”. What you ask? Yes people. People eat, people throw out trash, some do not throw out left over food, properly wash dishes or properly clean their own spaces. Third. Find the holes, plug the holes, kill the pests and problem solved, second problem with these extended stay properties is again, people. People who believe the toilet or sink is a trash can and end result backed up toilets and sinks, so ladies and gentlemen there may small issues these motels however I’ve dealt with management and was respectful and polite and had my issues resolved in a timely manner. So far the management as gone above and beyond for me personally. Allowed to stayed while issues with vouchers and code blue has arisen. All staff have been accommodating and understanding and respectful. I had small issues I’ve gotten solve whether on my own or with staff assistance. Defending the staff is not a problem and no one has asked me or requested this review. There’s always a solution. Thank you to all the staff a the Red Carpet Inn as well the Scottish Inns and...

its funny that people think the business itself cares about these reviews, i personally think that my review actually means nothing, but, it might matter to the few individuals that read these reviews so here i go. dont get a room here. there are definitely roaches, thats a promise. at least the mini fridge works but unless you drink a lot of alcohol or soda, why do you even need a mini fridge. no microwave, so dont bring anything besides liquid that you can store in a fridge if you plan on staying more than a night. leftovers dont even matter because i know a lot of people dont like cold food. the wifi is pretty messed up, even typing this i disconnected from it 4 times (6 times after completion and it took 10 minutes to post the review) and you better hope you have data because you will get frustrated using anything on wifi. the tv, in the three different rooms ive had, doesnt work. i have my own streaming device (ps4 is my main) and it wont connect to any hdmi on any of the tvs we have tested. i have to use my own tv, its 2022, it really isnt hard to make sure this kind of stuff works well. thats the world we live in though. the cheap wire bed and cheap pillows + blankets arent really that bad considering most hotels have nothing better so dont expect a proper nights sleep, and i grew up poor sleeping on the floor somehow this is the same as that amount of comfort, which is fine by me. i dont really mind staining in the toilet or shower so the fact that its all stained and barely works is fine, at least the water warms up. dont expect anything proper from this place, you wont get it. my suggestion is to smile and nod to the owners of this hotel and dont tell them anything is wrong. they do not fckin care at all. another dollar in their pocket is all they care about, hence why the wifi will not work meanwhile the employee wifi is perfect (have gotten access to the secret wifi as well, works 3x better than the guest wifi). if youre looking for 'comfort' go down he street and pay the extra money. do NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL unless you are in my position, and cannot rent an apartment for your own good. literally heard foot steps where theres no room and have found several peep holes (which are now covered up, as my fiance is barely even 20 years old, im 23 and its extremely uncomfortable to ignore the peepholes) that ive spotted movement behind them; the cops do not care. be careful and stay safe my fellow gypsies, always be aware and do not settle for less. unless you have to. then stay at this barely 2 out of five hotel. you truly get what you pay for. also no microwave, lol. edit: I HOPE THE OWNER CHOKES...
