From the moment we walked in, we were impressed with the décor & overall atmosphere of the interior. The young ladies at the front entrance were very friendly & were quick to offer a warm greeting along with asking if we needed anything. Upon finding our reservation, one of them seated us within 2 mins. The booth we were escorted to was right by the kitchen, so we could watch all the culinary action taking place. Almost immediately, we were greeted by our server for the evening, Thomas C.. He was VERY personable, with a nice sense of humor . . . made us feel like we were the only ones he was serving that evening. After taking our drink order, he left us to peruse the selective menu. Upon his return, my husband asked for Thomas's opinion about some of the steaks. He recommended the Porcini Bone-in Ribeye for him, while I chose to go a bit smaller & decided on the Mint & Honey Lamb Chops. All the while our meal was being prepared, Thomas kept checking on us & making small talk to occupy our time. Even the managing partner (Mike M.) came by to check on us & as an added bonus, delivered a single red rose (we dined there the Sunday before Valentine's & that was the purpose of our visit - an intimate dinner).
The first thing that hit us when our meal arrived was the size & aroma of our cuts of meat. Outstanding! Unbelievably tender, juicy, & extremely tasty! After making sure neither my husband nor myself needed any other refreshments, condiments, or additional sides, Thomas left us to relish in our meal. And I must say, as a first-time diner here, we were impressed. With the size of the portions, we were hard-pressed to finish what was on our plate, so we didn't press our luck. Thomas graciously offered to box up what we couldn't polish off, then offered dessert. As much as we would've liked to try something that night, our bellies had other ideas, so we politely declined.
With our dining experience concluded & another quick check from the manager/partner, we blissfully floated out the door, our appetites well-sated.
Overall, I would heartily recommend (& already have, several times) the Capital Grille to anyone looking for a wonderfully unique dining experience. Thank you for making our Valentine's celebration a special one.

Read moreGreat location, easy to get to. Parking is excellent, free Valet or plenty of park yourself spots. Entrance was nice, we were greeted at the door and quickly seated. We have a wonderful table in the main dining area at a half circle bench with additional chairs. We were a party of 5 with a member needing a mobility walker and two children ages 10 and 12. Plenty of room for us all. The atmosphere is very nice. We have a view into the kitchen and the glass wine room with ladder was also a nice touch. Our waiter was very pleasant and immediately took our drink orders asking prior if he was permitted to refilled the children's drink upon need, which I thought was extremely thoughtful. Drinks brands were extensive which was also very nice. Upon receipt of our drinks our food order was taken. They do offer kids portions of steak (filet) as well as the norm, chicken fingers, pasta etc. There menu mostly consist of seafood apps and steak main meals (you are in a Steak Restaurant), however there are other options. The meals do not come with sides, they are to be ordered separate and they come in two sizes, table or personal. The table size was perfect for our party of 5. The appetizer of crab and lobster cake was delicious and I will definitely order again. Our calamari with hot peppers delicious. Shortly afterwards our Steaks were brought out, they were huge and I have to say, The Best Steak I have ever had. My husband and I ordered the Porcini Rib Eye OMG. My son and mother in law ordered the Filets and my daughter ordered a (kids portion mini filet) with a side of asparagus. Everyone Loved their food. My daughter finished every bite (extremely unusual) and was asked my Manager how it was, she said "WOW", it gained her a free dessert. My husband and I had steak leftovers to take home as they were huge portions. Desserts are made to order, cheesecake OMG, creme brulee with fresh berries and chocolate flourless cake. Everything was so good. Service with our Waiter Thomas was fantastic and he was very receptive of every need. The bill was expensive, which we anticipated as we reviewed the menu prior to attending, but worth ever penny. We will definitely be back. Maybe a...
Read moreI was expecting a great experience, but was disappointed in the end. We were a group of five of us with a birthday celebration. We were told that the desserts were fabulous and that they do something special for birthdays when we made reservations. We ordered drinks, but the service though very professional and courteous, was very slow. First course was the Double tier seafood platter... Very nice indeed, waited a long time to place our main course order, but eventually ordered steaks and sides... One seafood dish too. All were quite good, though I found my steak to be overly fatty. 30-40% fat. We sat for almost three hours due to the slow service. When the meal was over, we expected to celebrate the birthday with dessert, and the waitress came back to our table and told us that the kitchen had closed an hour before, and no desserts were available, not even coffee or tea was offered, she didn't care and didn't offer an apology or an explanation.... We were asked to leave without celebrating the birthday that they knew about. Our bill was over $500, without dessert. I don't understand how they could forget to tell their patrons that are in the middle of eating for a last call to order dessert before the kitchen closes and reserve those plates for the end of the meal. They knew it was a birthday celebration and they even left a birthday card at the start of our meal for our friend. An otherwise pleasant dinner, we left perplexed as to how a high end restaurant could end our dinner that way.
As an addendum, no one from this restaurant ever reached out to apologize for this poor experience. Some restaurants care, and others could care less I guess. A real...
