Lolli's Chocolates — Local services in Harahan

Was told this is owned by 2 sisters. I thought it was a franchise. So confused that a private business does not allow for special orders. They have premade small birthday boxes, 4" maybe, as well as plastic plates with assorted chocolates, all wrapped in cellophane with a gold sticker with their name. I wanted to special order a plate adding birthday cookies to it. Was told they dont do special orders. What you see in the store is what you get. I had to laugh. She said she could sell me individual items seperately and the pre arranged plate that was on display. This person said she was the store manager and her reason was because the staff dont follow directions and they have lost money in the past. Sounds like a management problem not staff. Because i didnt have time to figure out another plan I bought the birthday cookies and assorted plate then went home ripped off the wrapping and gold label advertising their name and rewrapped it myself with foil and ribbon from walmart. Most importantly, I bought some choc covered oreos to try myself. I shared them with a friend and we both thought the milk chocolate was bland. I guess the store is content with a set revenue and with no effort in trying to get repeat customers. I really want to support local business but can't get...

Used to stop at the downtown one all the time leaving work and was so sad when they closed. Their chocolate covered strawberries and s’mores are my favorite.
